Electric Cowboys is a joke. It has made me wonder, once again, why I keep letting my friends convince me to come up to the suburbs to go out. It's in an old strip mall behind Hooters. It looks like it could have been a Big Lot's or something in the 70s that was emptied out and re-filled with a half-assed bar.
Anway, some of the highlights would be:
1) Cheap drinks. On Thursdays house drinks are $2, and they run other similar specials.
2)Plenty of parking. I mean a TON of parking.
3) They draw pretty big crowds if you like that. However, it seems like mostly KSU students and locals who are trying to prey on them.
Lowlights would be the smoke, the crowds of people who are under 21, and a huge police presence outside for some reason. It also seems a little crazy to charge a cover at a bar in the suburbs on a Thursday with no band, but plenty of people were willing to pay it.
My advice would be to drive the extra 15 minutes down to Atlanta and find yourself a real bar. We have too good of a bar scene to waste time in dumps like this.
