Darwin's Burgers and Blues

It's very simple - Darwin's is Awesome!!! The staff/owners are wonderful, the food is good, the patrons are super nice, and the live music every night of the week and during the day on saturdays is truely AMAZING. Yes, the building is a dive, and the place, parking lot, and bathrooms are very small. But who cares - THIS PLACE ROCKS!!! especially on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS , FRIDAYS, and SATURDAY Nights.MONDAY-THURSDAY - NO COVER, MONDAY THRU WEDNESDAY SPECIAL - Any bottle of Beer and a burger for ONLY $5
Note: If the parking lot is full just park in the lot next door to the right of Darwins.

To be honest, the only reason I go to this bar is because the Truett Lollis Band plays there on Mondays (and Fridays I believe) and they are great.  The food is gross and mostly frozen and the bartenders like partying more than being bartenders the later the night gets. If you like blues, they have some great bands and you can grab a mediocre drink while you watch, but other than that - don't bother.

Hubby and I were in the mood for some live local music and drinks and food. Place was packed $10 cover. Had our reserved table waiting for us. Arrived just in time for the band. We just left Hemingway's just up the road in the square as their band was setting up after a few appetizers and drinks where we could smoke and relax. That's another thing, if you're a smoker, don't come on a night where its freezing outside because that's where you have to go to smoke at this blues dive. Food was ok. Drinks were good. Service was a little annoying asking for our credit card when we were cash paying customers as if we were going to dine and dash. I absolutely hate having any establishment asking to hold my card. Maybe that's of the norm for some places so I obliged. We left after 3 songs and our first drink, dog, fries and wings. Tipped the waitress well because we got tired of waiting for her  pick up our payment for the bill and we had no change. She was busy taking shots with other patrons at the bar.
