This is an OK spot to go if you live in the area. Traveling from across Atlanta to get here?... the hell is wrong with you? It's pretty bare bones and plain, but who comes to a bar to look at the beautiful scenery? Here you've got loud music, drinks, food, and interesting characters.
On the night I came, a couple friends and I were on our way home from a comedy show downtown, but we weren't quite ready to go home- even though we should have, being that we had work the next morning. It was about 1:30 A.M. when we stopped in. After chatting for a bit, we finally ordered some drinks. I had gotten hungry and wanted some wings or something, but as usual with my timing, I was too late. The kitchen had closed. Boo. Hungry me.
So, I ordered a couple drinks. For the life of me, I don't remember which ones... trust me when I say it has nothing to do with "getting wasted" because there was little to NO alcohol in my drinks. I told the waitress, "I taste no alcohol in this... at all." She looked at me and said, "Oh, honey, trust me. That's pure alcohol right there! You'll feel it. Just wait."....
Well, "honey", I waited. There really was no alcohol in these drinks or a very small amount. Â I know what a drink is supposed to taste like! I could have given this to a kid and passed it off as juice with no issue. It tasted like fruity flavoring and sparkling water. I had a feeling since we came so late for this particular bar, that the bartender just wasn't feeling like mixing or something. I dunno, but this was no real drink.
So, um, yeah... apparently I stopped by the bar to get a couple cups of juice.... fun times, I tell ya. Fun times.
Great sounding venue but it's so smokey. Â Lots of rednecks hanging out and women wearing clothes that they should've gotten rid of about 5 years ago. Â Spandex is not a very forgiving material btw. Â Decent beer prices and when the room is used by local promoters Pathfinder Promotions, the shows are non-smoking which I love.
