This is an OK spot to go if you live in the area. Traveling from across Atlanta to get here?... the hell is wrong with you? It's pretty bare bones and plain, but who comes to a bar to look at the beautiful scenery? Here you've got loud music, drinks, food, and interesting characters.

On the night I came, a couple friends and I were on our way home from a comedy show downtown, but we weren't quite ready to go home- even though we should have, being that we had work the next morning. It was about 1:30 A.M. when we stopped in. After chatting for a bit, we finally ordered some drinks. I had gotten hungry and wanted some wings or something, but as usual with my timing, I was too late. The kitchen had closed. Boo. Hungry me.

So, I ordered a couple drinks. For the life of me, I don't remember which ones... trust me when I say it has nothing to do with "getting wasted" because there was little to NO alcohol in my drinks. I told the waitress, "I taste no alcohol in this... at all." She looked at me and said, "Oh, honey, trust me. That's pure alcohol right there! You'll feel it. Just wait."....

Well, "honey", I waited. There really was no alcohol in these drinks or a very small amount.  I know what a drink is supposed to taste like! I could have given this to a kid and passed it off as juice with no issue. It tasted like fruity flavoring and sparkling water. I had a feeling since we came so late for this particular bar, that the bartender just wasn't feeling like mixing or something. I dunno, but this was no real drink.

So, um, yeah... apparently I stopped by the bar to get a couple cups of juice.... fun times, I tell ya. Fun times.

So much better now that it's not Sidelines anymore.  The live music and events are always great.  There is a sand volleyball court attaced and the music hall is awesome.  Very good service.

Great sounding venue but it's so smokey.  Lots of rednecks hanging out and women wearing clothes that they should've gotten rid of about 5 years ago.  Spandex is not a very forgiving material btw.  Decent beer prices and when the room is used by local promoters Pathfinder Promotions, the shows are non-smoking which I love.

After hitting up a nearby estate sale, my wife and I swing into 120 Tavern for a drink and some grub.  It had been sitting, in my bookmarks, for almost a year I think...

Gotta be honest... first improessions weren't all that grand...

As we walked up, there were three young girls out front dressed in bikini tops and skimpy shorts - having their picture taken by a 40-year-old fat, bearded security guard that waddled instead of walked.  He was literally saying things like, "Yeah, baby.  Love it, honey!"  Oh boy... gonna be one of THOSE places...

Walking past the giggling idiots and into the place, we were early enough that the place was pretty empty... but that didn't stop there from being at least 8 security guys walking around trying to look as tough as possible - sunglesses indoors and all.  Apparently, the way-too-young-to-have-all-these-old-men-gawking-at-them girls were going to be pudding (or jello, or something like that) wrestling before the bands went on that night.  This, and the expected bands, meant they needed a bunch of security.

Already not my type of place.

We bellied up to the bar, anyway, determined to at least have a beer before we leave.  When we arrived, though, we were greeted with surprisingly great service from the gals behind the bar!  Despite their Ameri-macro beer centered selection and jello shots on special... they mustered up a Paulaner Hefe for the missus and properly poured a Guinness for me.  Well done!

Because of the friendliness, we ordered some grub... which is where they actually shined!  I had the andouille sausage burger that was really, really tasty... and my wife went for their normal tavern burger that was good too.  They even served up hot, crispy tater tots on the side.  Nice!

As it got a little later, the crowds started to show.  20-somethings, dressed like they were 15, was the clientele for the night.  A lot of straigh-billed backwards ballcaps, pants hanging down to see underwear, shoes too big and no laces, bandanas, cigarettes behind ears, gold jewelry hanging to belly buttons...... you get the picture.  Again... not our crowd...

    So...

The service was great and the food was good...... but, if we're ever coming back, we'll have to do some prior research and swing in on a country music night -- when the staff told us there's minimal security needed and the whole vibe is much (thankfully) different...

We live in the area, and we stopped going to 120 Tavern when the new owners bought the place.  Saw a deal on scout mob and decided to try it out again.

Let me just say it was night and day!!!  The food 4 months ago was horrible!  The food a couple nights ago was AMAZING!  I had an Andouille sausage burger, and my boyfriend had the hangover burger.  Both were DELICIOUS!

Apparently the new owners just brought in a new chief and got a whole new menu.  Not to mention $2 PBR.  We will definitely go back.  I am really impressed with the changes to the menu.  Good job 120 tavern for finally stepping up your food game.

I've been here about 6 times since the change in ownership.  The food isn't as good as it used to be and the prices are higher.  Today was probably my last visit.   We sat outside on the patio and got tired of waiting for a server.  As we walked out, we noticed 4 employees hanging out at the bar talking to one another rather than working.

They did a really nice job of renovating the entire place.

I'm SUPER bummed.  Just this past week, I went back here and got my usual Lemon Pepper wings.  I JUST got done blabbing just 2 months ago about how amazing these damn wings are and now I have to update.
The wings are NOT BAD in general.. but they are absolutely not what they used to be.  They're more oily and drippy as opposed to the more dry rub-ness prior.

I was aware of the renovations but I guess it never occurred to me that I'd be losing my beloved chicken extremities due to new management.

I still plan to dine here because of the convenience to my home, as well as the fun atmosphere and of course the really nice renovations.. but I'll probably have to find a new go-to dish!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to watch the Nashville Predators hockey team in the playoffs and we ended up here. We had some difficulty finding the place as they have changed their name to 120 Tavern and Music Hall, but eventually we found it. It is huge inside with a lot of different TVs from which to watch different games. The bartenders and waitresses were all really nice. When they initially couldn't find the game for us on the TV they gave us each a free drink for our inconvenience. It was late at night so we weren't interested in a full meal but tried an appetizer, the loaded tots. They were really yummy. Tots loaded up with cheese, bacon and sour cream. Delicious! Great experience. We'll be back.

Some of the best food I have had in Marietta, Georgia.  Although I will say the service is why I keep returning.  The waitresses are very kind and so far I haven't had any mistakes.  Could be a little faster, but when I'm there I'm not in a hurry so it doesn't bother me. That aside, it is a fun place to be. Kind of like the TV show Cheers.  At Sidelines, when you are a regular everybody knows your name.  They have a HUGE BAR, volleyball, pool tables, a live venue for bands and music, arcade games, tons of TV's, and trivia every Thursday.  It's kind of like the Mom and Pop's Dave and Busters, although not as big.  Also on Thursdays they have the greatest Steak and Shrimp combination I have ever seen on any restaurants menu.  The wings are always tasty and the burgers are what you think of when you think about a big juicy burger.  I'd say it is at least worth a try!

4 Stars only cause my friends band played there. I never go out on NYE, I havent in 12 years, but I got a call from friends are you going to the Local, part of sidelines, I said I dont know?, they said your going. So it was on. I did not eat, but the staff was great and I know how that can be on amateur night. We had a blast, Tron Jackson played and the set up at the local is great, fantastic room for sound, both bands sounded great. Anyway $35 got us  buffet, video games, all you can drink , two bands, and  all my best friends who I never get to see, not a bad way to spend a NYE. Oh I did get hot by a car in the parking lot but no damage done, just a tad sore!

This is my go-to when I want to hang out with friends to catch up, grab some good grub, or grab a beer (or mixed drink, in my case). All the waitresses are amazingly nice, very friendly/talkative, and they definitely take care of you. They care enough to get to know you and often times will remember you and your orders! The food is always really good and drinks are always perfect.

Sidelines Sports Bar is a dangerous place to go with anything valuable.
Was excited to go there to listen to bands as a fund raiser for my friend Scott's cancer recovery.  Music Scott's crew arranged was GREAT.  Volleyball out back was fun.  Food was so so... nacho's soggy, didn't deliver salad as ordered.  But all the fun stopped when I left my phone in the bathroom and someone found it and asked if they should give it to the event organizer or to the bartender.  Ambyre McCann the bartender took the phone and proceeded to leave it next to cash register instead in the basket behind the bar or pass it along to the organizers.  Within 10 minutes, her customer Billy had taken it.  She could care less--probably worked out a deal to share the profits if he sold the phone.  Her manager Lauren Lacey halfheartedly said she would try to call Billy to get it back.  I can't seem to get anyone in that management to give a damn about this situation.   Joe Lopez was with Billy when he took the phone and I have tracked him down and he has said he will help me.  We will see.

Used to eat there 4 times a week before I changed offices with work.

Food is good and consistantly prepared.  Prices are fair and there's a lunch special or two or three daily. Free 1 after 5 purchased. The staff like to have fun and keep things jumping.

The hamburgers are huge. You won't go away hungry.

Something about this place just makes me wanna come back and back.

First, their wing sauce is awesome. Its spicy, tangy, has a kick, but is more then just heat. I got it as a side dip with my quesadilla and it just completed the whole thing. Salsa was kinda watery though. Beer is cheap, and the main bar is shaped around a Bud delivery truck, Ill give them creativity points on that one for sure.

I went here cause of the Blues jam they are now hosting in a place called the Local, which is right off to the side, and its awesome. Non smoking, has its own bar in side, and great place to catch a show, or play. Fun times.

Good amount of pool tables, they have a good number of Golden Tee, plus they have air hockey(!!!!) and skee ball(!!!!!!!!!). I think thats why I will be back.

This place has good food, and that's about it. I've come here for lunch a few times and I'm surprised at how bad it is every time. Depending on which waitress you get, it can range from not knowing anything about the menu to being completely indifferent about your order.

The last time I went (and probably the last time I'll go), we had the waitress who kept disappearing to ask her manager questions about the menu. A cockaroach walked up to us and stared. When we tried to get the waittress's attention, she looked at us and walked away. The other one looked over, saw the roach and took action. Unfortunately, she forgot to wash her hands afterwards.

Overall, this place is much better as a dive bar at night. I don't recommend for lunch.

    I rediscovered Sidelines Sports Bar!!!

When I first moved to Atlanta (15 years ago) Sidelines was the place I went to watch the Vikings. After I moved to Buford it has been years since I made it back to my old watering hole.

It was Great to see that when I did get back to Marietta, Sidelines had gotten even Better. New Flat Screen TV's, New Sound System in the private band room, and the Food was still the same Large Portions that I came to expect.

It is good that somethings don't change.

Thumbs Up Sidelines!!  I will be  back on Sunday...........Jim

First off, I'll go ahead and say I may not return that much, purely because it's a smoking environment.  I try to stay out of such environments for personal health purposes as so does my husband.

But for all other reasons, it's worth the return: interesting atmosphere, laid back service (I will not say speedy but not slow, it was understandable our server was swamped on a heavy rain-in night but he was still apologetic and always looking over his shoulder for us as he passed us by, which was rather considerate).

We could hear the music going on next to us at the Local, and would have loved to stay to hear the music if it was not getting so late. From what we heard during warm up, they were not that bad!

Bathrooms were clean, it's cool to have an outdoor activity such as volley ball to romp around on, cool pool tables (though a bit worn, no holes except where they SHOULD be! Makes ME happy!) and plenty of bar games.

We didn't drink, but variety seemed plentiful.

Hm, I did not think about it until writing this, but if I were to find out they serve over at the Local -- the non-smoking section-- I may just have to return.  For the great food and mozzerella sticks that are the BEST!

This place is one of my favorite local dives to go to for lunch.  The service is slow and unfriendly and the place is always cold and dimly lit, but I love it!  They're always rocking out to some great 80's/early 90's music and the food menu has a lot of variety.  I've never been disappointed with any of the food here and I've tried everything from fish to burgers to wraps.  The prices aren't so bad, either.

I live in the city and I was told that Iron Mullet was a band to see. My manfriend and I headed there, specifically, to the Llocal.  That is where bands play. Double plus for it being nonsmoking (The Local, Sidelines is a smoking bar). I was glad to be able to enjoy a show without the prospect of cancerous smoke! yay!

They have a small volleyball court in the outside part and that is a good thing, for any bar;  esp. in the area they are in because bars OTP are usually pretty cookie cutter boring and rednecky. Is good to have a sandbox for those who enjoy a sport other than a batting cage or a dartboard.

Drinks are moderately price, I only had beer. Mozzarella sticks are fat and delicious, not overfried at all. Staff is friendly. Bathrooms are clean. The skank level was at CODE ORANGE but the MARRIED BALD MAN hitting on Single GALS was on CODE RED. I had to have my manfriend escort me to the restroom because fatass chunky was trying to get my number one trip at a time.

It happens everywhere I guess....but I know how goes it OTP.

Not a bad place to go with a group.  There are many TVs although they are all of the old non-HD variety.  Food is your standard bar fare.  Usually it's not bad.  My co-workers love going on Thursdays because of the steak and shrimp lunch special.  If you go for lunch, be sure to ask them for their VIP card.  Buy 5 lunch specials and get your next one free.  This place also has outdoor seating, good for days when the weather outside is nice.  Service can be slow sometimes.  Also not a bad place for a happy hour.

Do you know how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop?  How about how many pool tables do you have before you get some real ones and lay off the coin op?  I have never seen so many in one place.  But I suppose the other side of that is that there are a good number of tables.  And a few arcade/pinball games to boot.

I suppose the main attraction is that they have their own screened in sandy volleyball court.  I thought that was fairly cool.  I'm not sure how you get in on the game, but there were a good number of people playing when I was there, on a Tuesday evening.  If nothing else, this gives the place something very uncommon.

Overall, the place was a little loud, or I am a little old.  (Probably the latter.)  You can smoke inside, which may make or break the place for some of you.  The bar surrounds a Budweiser truck, which might be interesting to some.  There is a separate room which has a stage, and apparently they have local bands and DJs there on some nights.  Me, I was just hungry.

Foodwise, you have a standard selection for a grill.  Prices also are average.  I had a chicken alfredo dish.  The sauce and pasta were good, but the chicken was a little bland.  The garlic bread was terrible.  The meal did come with choice of soup or salad, and I got something called the Sidelines baked potato soup.  Due to an error, I received a full bowl of it, which was lucky because it was delicious.  So, as usual,  I have mixed feelings on the food.

To sum up:  the food was ok, but people don't go for the food.  Drinking, volleyball, pool, and possibly for music.  But if you're hungry while you do those things, there are some decent items on the menu.  I wouldn't seek it out, but I wouldn't be upset if I ended up there again.  No, check that:  I will totally go there the second I want to play volleyball attached to a bar.  Despite myself, I do think that is cool.  I am so un-hip...

I used to live down the street from this joint (while in college) and my boyfriend and I used to win every trivia night so we could earn free food and drinks.  Do not be afraid of our return- unless you hear that Phantom Sasquatch  is playing.  Yeah, that was our name- long story.

So, do not tackle us unless you feel lucky, punk!

The food is suburban, they have enormous TV's, and sometimes, if you're unlucky, some country band will play in the main room.  Bleh.

They also have billiards and video games if you're too scared to bring a Wii or a PS3 home to your lady.

This is a great place to go and eat and (mostly) drink if you are in the Marietta area, there are a limited amount of places open as late as Sidelines!

Dimly lit, seat yourself sports bar. The pool tables were pretty dirty. The service was extremely slow BUT...you had your own TV at the table. I would not go back to this place unless I was hungry and standing outside with no car to use to drive down the street. It wasn't a bad place. It was very average but with the myriad of choices available on Roswell Road, it wasn't worth going back twice.
