This location has changed from Wild Wing Cafe to The Wing Cafe & Tap House. I was hopeful for some improvements with the switch, but it's still the same old wing spot, with a few changes to the menu. I had come with a birthday party, so we had about 10 people at the table. The waitress brought me water at first since I didn't know what I wanted, but it took me FOREVER to get her attention again to get an actual drink, which was really annoying (the service used to be much better at least).
They still have the 2 for $10 Irish Car Bombs deal, which is why we always kept coming back, so I'm glad they kept that. The menu seemed to have expanded. We got the Giant German Sticks with mustard to start, and those were tasty. For my entree, I got the Turkey Club Wrap with the Black & White soup on the side. The photo in the menu looked really good so I had to try the soup. Please. PLEASE don't order it. I don't know why it's advertised as soup. It's queso with black beans in it, and once you stir it up it looks like puke. I took a couple bites and couldn't take it anymore, but it was better with a chip dipped in it (it is queso after all). The turkey club wrap was decent in itself, but it's hard to mess that up.
I hear that the wings are still tasty, and the beer I had was still ice cold. So, if you want wings specials and beer, I say this is a great place to go. Other things on the menu I would still be vary of. Hopefully the service will improve (or at least that server).
My wife and I ate at this location when it was Wild Wings at least once a week for years, it was one of our favorites. Â Since the change over to The Wing the place has changed. Â The menu has expanded, however, not for the better. Â Many of our favorites are gone and honestly what we ate on two occasions tasted like warmed over food with no taste. Â I use to brag about this place but not any longer. Â Count us as ex customers.
