Review Source:While it seems a bit sketchy at first, this place is actually great fun. The drag queen and king shows are terrific. Every time that I've gone I have sat in the small VIP area for the drag shows and I make sure to tip well. Remember, the more you tip the happier everyone is. And I also like the extra attention that the performers give. Once the drag show is over, I usually don't stick around for too long because the place is so small and is usually extremely crowded. But the music that the DJ plays is pure pop/dance goodness.
Review Source:"A man in drag is good for the soul!" - I think someone said that at some point. Â If not, I'm saying it now!
I visited for my first time in June this year to celebrate the graduations of a few close friends of mine! Â I had fun! Â I love the fact that something like this exists outside the perimeter for once! Â
The place is HUGE and there is a ton of parking. Â The inside was nothing spectacular as I remember, but it was dark as I showed up a little after the show started. Â This was a Saturday night and though it was busy, there weren't a ton of people standing at the bar (they wait tables as well). Â So I was surprised when I stood there like 10 minutes before being prompted to order my drink. Â It's not about the bartender being so busy - I expected that. Â It was more about the fact that I only remember noticing one bartender - it was not bustling behind the bar. Â Wasn't thrilled about that.
The show was a lot of fun, the ladies are fabulous, the music was good.. and there's a lot of energy in the room. Â There's one that starts out in a wheel chair and I have to admit that's an odd way to start off a show, but it was quirky and definitely attention-getting. Â There's another whose boobs are .... I think they're literally like size 7D or something, if that exists. Â
They had a pole dancing competition among patrons... In order to impress(?) and amuse my friends on their special day, I decided to participate. Â I am really good at booty dancing. Â Like, I mean.. really unsexy, white-girl, booty-dancing-in-my-borderline-mom-jeans dancing while my granny panties are probably sticking out the back. Â ANYway, I was wayyy out of my league. Â Am I missing something if life that I don't know how to pole dance? Â Does this make me the minority, really? Â There was one person up there WHITER than I am and she shocked me.
Needless to say, I had to be the worst dancer. Â I didn't win but I got a free shot for trying. Â I have no idea what was in the shot - I don't even know if there was alcohol in it, but I appreciate the gesture.
I read the other reviews here and I think they're definitely undercutting LeBuzz - OR it's definitely improved over the last couple of years.
I had a good time, and especially since it's so close to my house, I'd definitely go back.. and I'd recommend it to others who are looking for an interesting night out in the burbs!
Smoking is allowed inside.
