I was surprised how bad this place was.  Maybe it's my fault for ordering the nachos - but they were really gross - bland, but salty in a bad way.  The chili that was on them was disgusting, in my opinion.  The staff was definitely not friendly.  The bathroom was dirty.  I think my opinion is in the minority though - they were doing a a great business!

Came here for Mother's Day and soon as we walked on the door I was already pissed off. The little girl at the reception desk didn't look at us, didn't say hello, I'll be with you in a moment...nothing. Literally stood there for 2 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Very rude customer service. Then spoke to the manager and he didn't even act like he cared. The reason for the 3 stars is our waiter made up for it because he provided a great service and was very attentive. And the home made ranch dressing is amazing. However I won't ever return....customer service is a lost art.

Can I have a side of attitude with that?  We've been going to this place since it opened.  The service has gone down hill the past year - slow and with attitude.  Food quality has not been as good either.  I understand for what they offer, they will most likely stay in business for their sports and bar.  But would really wish they might start to really care and offer what you're suppose to get as a customer.

Great place! Clean, friendly staff, great food! HUGE beer selection with a passport program that gives your rewards for trying them all. Burgers are fantastic and the chocolate chimichanga dessert is an experience not to be missed! The wings are just okay. TONS of TVs all over so no matter what game you want to catch, they can turn the one closest to your table to the channel you want! Pricing is really reasonable.

Please note: The good for kids rating is a bit general. This place is great for kids during the afternoon and early evening hours, and even has an arcade for them to go play. It is not a good location for kids during games or later in the evening, because it turns into a bit more of a bar atmosphere than restaurant.

I've been going here for over 3 years so far since i turned 21 years old! It is what you call the local watering hole of Buford, Ga, and the place to go for the Beer connoisseurs! I would, without a doubt, say i am and proud of being a regular there. I'm there 24/7 or just when I'm not working. All those who work retail and service industry go there after work. They have 300 beers and a great staff that can usually speak beer lingo. Now the food, is really good drunk munchies for a bar in my opinion. Personally you don't go to bars to get the greatest food, so i feel the food is very enjoyable for a drunken bar scene. Taco Mac at the Mall of Georgia is my home away from home and is my life's take on the tv show Cheers lol ! O Yea I'm addicted to their french fries and ranch dressing ....ITS THE SHIT ! LOL

    How many taps?

This is a generically good place to have a great brew, decent food and waaaay too many TV's.

Located in the Mall of Georgia parking lot, it is conveniently located to everything when you need a little shopping break for some hot wings and a good Belgian.

Great place! If you love beer this is the right place! 100 on draft and 177 bottled choices. Food is good too. Service was prompt.

It was game night. 49ers VS Seahawks. Bestie loves her beer + wings + tacos + football, so naturally she always chooses this Taco Mac for her annual night. We kicked back with some brews, watched the game on any of the insanely abundant number of big screen televisions they have, and had a blast catching up. I was personally more interested in watching the hockey game, but don't tell anyone that. ;)

The beers were solid and the food was on point. Most of the December beers were out (what?) but everyone found a couple to throw back. Wings tasted better next day, though I wish they still had their old lemon pepper wing sauce instead of their dry rub.

Service wasn't great, as we had the oldest server we've ever had (anywhere). He was nice, but didn't move too fast and he often forgot things.

One of my closest buddies lost his Brewniversity cards, so our server tried to look him up in the system. Fail. He had to start a new account and he had nearly 120 points. Too bad. Looks like a slurred, stumbling, double vision future for him!

Parking is pretty tight, so if you're paranoid about that kind of thing, park at the end of the mall lot. The spaces are bigger and it's not that far away. You'd actually be closer to the front door from there, in comparison to parking behind the building.

Oh the memories. And car bombs.

Great for watching any game. The manager was quick and accommodating when I wanted to see a different game. I had the wings. Though, I thought their heat rating was a little weak. Plus, plenty of beer to choose from. The staff was friendly and attentive. All at a decent price.

This review has nothing to do with food, as I have eaten here at this location a lot and liked it. Great wings.
Here's the problem...and my opinion; They have a sign up front that says you cannot bring any type of weapon inside. Even those with a concealed carry permit. The Constitution of the United States of America says I can own a firearm. Taco Mac says I can't bring it in. And this politically correct, trendy, gutless, and un-American policy after Columbine high school, Virginia Tech, Newtown, Aurora, and countless other places that are 'gun free zones'.. The sign should say; 'Criminals...we have no means of defending ourselves, so come on in...no one will stop you.' When they get robbed, shot, and tv crews and the media report it all. I'll say; 'You asked for it'.
Wings are still good, though. God Bless America.

I must start off and tell you all that I have all 3 of the different plaques with my name on them within the establishment for drinking ALL of their different beers. I enjoy the wings and tacos also I might add. Yes I am one of the ones that can drink out of the special mug instead of the regular glass. I always sit at the bar when I go so I NEVER have to worry about good service as I always get it. They have over 100 beers on tap so if you're going out for a little binge drinking, take a DD with you. :)

Taco Mac is one of my favorite places to eat and hang out. Whether its a date with my husband or hanging out with friends, I love the atmosphere. The food is fantastic. I like the Taco Mac buffalo bleu cheese burger and the boneless wings with the "hot" sauce. Close to home and great for casual dining.

Are you looking for a beer? Keep reading.
Don't like beer? Stop & go some place else.
So you like beers? Great, I promise you've never seen a bigger selection. They have lagers, pilsners, IPAs, lights, darks, and so many bottled beers you can spend a solid afternoon studying their beer menu. Want a suggestion? Try one of four or five local SweetWaters they have on draft or one of several varieties of Terrapin (you know, the beer with a cool turtle). They also carry Shock Top and Purple Haze and Kaho beer from Hawaii!
Don't forget to ask your sever about signing up for the frequent beer drinkers list. You know you want to show your grandmom the shirt that confirms you're a worldly beer connoisseur.
The food is decent, but it's only slightly better than your usual bar far, a step above wings & burgers (they ask how you want your burger cooked- so see? A step up). The wing sauces are limited to 5 or 6 choices and they all pretty much taste the same.
Appetizers should be a home run, beer and bar fare right? But besides the chips and salsa, everything has cheese in it. The onion rings are decent, but I've had better. The batter is too heavy with breading and could really use a good beer-batter recipe to make it a home run for me. As a final note, being a Braves fan is really a must, they're ads and logo are everywhere- even on your servers shirts.
Oh, and I saw some kids in there- really, I did. Who brings their kids to a bar?
(Check out my photo for an awesome shot of their taps!)

The first time my friend suggested eating at a Taco Mac several years ago, I - like many other newbies - thought this was a taco place.  Although they do serve tacos, quesadillas, and burritos, they are best known for their delicious chicken wings and huge selection of beer.

I have grown to love Taco Mac's chicken wings, especially the 3-Mile Island (TMI) flavored wings.  The wings at Taco Mac are larger than your average chicken wings, so whereas I may be able to eat around 8 wings at my other favorite chicken wing restaurants, I am full after eating 5 here.

Most recently, our family of six arrived at this Taco Mac around 7:30 pm on a Friday, got a buzzer, and were seated after about 20 minutes.  We weren't surprised about the wait because it's usually busy, and it was a Friday.  The restaurant was seriously packed!

Our family is probably the only one that doesn't care to watch any of the sports games that are shown on the numerous screens.  We simply enjoy each others' company and the delicious wings.

Since they're almost always busy, service here is generally pretty slow.  My dad wanted to sample one of their SweetWater beers - the Waterkeeper - and it probably took about 10 minutes for our server to bring it over to him.  By the time he got his sample, the beer was at room temperature and almost warm.  He though it tasted weird warm, but our server assured my dad that the a full glass ($5) would come in a chilled glass, so he went ahead and ordered it.  I usually don't like beer but decided to order a bottle of Strongbow Cider ($4.75).  I had tried it in the past and enjoyed it, but for some reason, it wasn't as good as I had remembered it.

Since we love chicken wings, my parents, younger sister, and I ordered a "Double" (20 pieces) of the TMI wings with fries and extra celery to share.  My older sister, Yoomee H., ordered a "Six Pack" of Medium-flavored wings ($6.79), and my brother ordered the Kenmore Burger ($8.69).

Almost half an hour after we ordered, we got our food.  Since my mom had wanted celery, we got an order (a couple pieces) of celery for 65 cents.  However, I'm always a little annoyed that you only get 1 sauce for every 10 wings, which is not nearly enough, and have to pay 65 cents for each extra sauce you order.  Yet you get 1 sauce for a Six Pack...  Why can't they give us 3 sauces for 20 pieces?  =P  But anyway, we got 1 ranch and 1 blue cheese.  I'm a HUGE fan of Taco Mac's ranch sauce, so I have to order an extra ranch sometimes.  They seriously have the best ranch sauce I've ever tasted!  It's thick, creamy, and delicious with chives in it, and it's great with the fries and wings.  Mmmm...

    * Double order of TMI w/Fries ($17.69) - The TMI wings are really spicy - only 2 levels away from the "Death" flavor (you have been warned!) - but they are so flavorful and good!  =)  The fries are good, too, and you get two small baskets of fries with the Double order of wings.

So everything was tasty and we were happy - until we counted the number of wings in our Double order to make sure there were 20, and noticed that a piece that was ONLY the wing TIP (end?) portion of a flat wing (vs. drumette) was counted as 1 piece!  We were shocked and immediately tried to get the attention of our server, but she was busy helping other customers.

My younger sister noticed someone who looked like a manager and got his attention.  As soon as we informed him of the mistake, he asked what flavor the wing was and said that he would be back with a few extra wings.  Soon afterwards, he brought us 3 extra wings to make up for the error.  He was super friendly and apologetic, which was really nice.  The extra wings were extra delicious because they were HOT!  The ones we had gotten earlier must have been sitting and waiting for a while before they were served to us because they weren't piping hot like that!  How amazing would it be if they were always served at that temperature - and that fast!  We really appreciated the manager's gesture.

Overall, this Taco Mac by the Mall of Georgia gets 4 stars for their great TMI chicken wings, yummy fries, BEST ranch sauce, and OK service considering how busy they are.  Our family will continue to eat here every so often when we are in the mood of those spicy wings!  =)

Omg!!! I Don't even know where to begin with this review! I wish there was an option for negative stars!

I was in the area with several colleagues (9 girls) for a conference, there were no good restaurants in the area and someone at our hotel suggested this place as it was fun and lots of different beers.

So we had a car service drive us over. When we arrived and sat at our table that's when the ridiculousness began.

We ordered wings (bone-in and boneless) and fries for the table. A few girls had margaritas served in pint glasses and the rest had a pitcher of beer. I have never met a waiter and/or manager as oblivious as these two, and have never been to a bar where there were so many rules. The girls didn't like the beer so they started ordering other drinks but were told they couldn't have another drink if they had a drink in front of them (hmmmm how about, take the beer/pitcher away as it wasn't good) needless to say they weren't given other drinks. Then the apps arrived, the girl who brought it out asked us if we needed plates!!????? What??!!!!! Hmmmm I dunno maybe we'll just eat them off the table!! When we said YES we needed plates, she asked "how many?"...again how about... one for each of us!!! When she brought them back she says and I brought you five sets of napkins but each set has 2 so you should be fine...WTF is up with these crazy ppl!

Then one of the girls got up to go tell the hostess that it was one of our colleague's birthday and to please bring out a cake with a candle. She was told "ok but they don't have candles". Then about 3 min later the waiter came to the table and says "so, whose birthday is it? And you get a free dessert!" we were like WTF is going on in this place!!???!!! Thanks for announcing it you A-hole!!!

Then we ordered entrees, we were told that he had to put the entrees in, in shifts because otherwise the restaurant would fall apart... (what??!! And why do we need a run down of everything) Honestly I was getting so annoyed by this place that I was on the verge of throwing a fit.

Next up...the girls ordered another round of margaritas which were previously served in pint glasses and now arrived in rocks glasses!!! Again WTF!!! When we brought it to his attention he says, "it's actually the same it's just less ice" hmmm I wanted to just throw it at him!!

Then the entrees arrived, or rather half the entrees arrived thePn about 10 min later the remaining entrees came!!! The birthday girl got the fish tacos, we had to call the manager over because there was literally no fish in the "fish tacos"!!! WTF so then they put in another order which arrived after we asked for the bill because we wanted to get the F outta this place ASAP!!!

But before this happened the waiter proceeded to give us about a 20 minute run down of why his so called fiancée is mad at him, the story kept going and going and I literally would have rather to get hit by a bus than to sit there and listen to this morons life story. And then he had the nerve to tell us that he was getting off his shift soon and was going to head over to the club if we wanted to meet up!!! What?!!! We actually don't want to ever see you again..EVER!!

Oh and just to top things off they never brought out the damn birthday cake!!!

The saddest part of the story was the food was actually not too bad but with all the other ridiculousness that was going on it was just lost. And even if I didn't live thousands of miles away from this restaurant I would not return solely because of the people working/running this restaurant.

    Probability of return: definitely not

Outside the Anchor Bar in Buffalo this is my favorite place for wings.   I like mine extra crispy in Hot sauce with extra blue cheese and celery.  This is your typical sports bar with an amazing beer selection.  Join the Brewervisity and you can work your way through the selection and earn great prizes.  Unfortunately I moved away so I can only visit when I come back to Atlanta.

The famed Taco Mac of Atlanta. My brother has been regaling me with tales of their beer selection for years, and only recently did I get to indulge and experience it for myself!

No food on this outing, only beer. The variety of draft and bottle is astonishing, and the organization of their list is note-worthy. I even took a copy of their beer menu home it was so great!

The beers are great, and the service was primo.

Unfortunately I live out in Cali, and Taco Mac is sooooo far away. But perhaps that's a good thing, since I'd find myself on the liver transplant list pretty quick. ;)

Ok our group meets here every so often for beer, wings, and a ball game.
Food is average, wings ok, there are better, but the beer selection is great! One word Hefeweizen! If you like German beer the have Erdinger on tap.
With the tables and screen it also works well for our group.

Walkable distance from the mall and service was great. Air conditioning was AWE-SOME, which is always appreciated in this scorching Georgia weather (and humidity). Parking wasn't a problem---if it got too packed though, I assume you could just park in the mall parking lot. Not a big deal.

Food is always spot on, and they never get cranky with special orders. I'm all over the boneless wings recently because it's a lot cleaner. Kids love the video games, I love the sports, and I'm never self conscious if the kids have a meltdown in there because it's always pretty loud!

Great beer selection, but buyer beware. Drink too many of the high dollar brews, and you'll easily hit your own personal debt ceiling with the check. Then, your $7 meal is looking more like extra over time at work!

Had Matt as our server the past couple of times, and he was really attentive and very fast with the service. He's usually wearing a Braves hat if I'm not mistaken.

It you're going there to watch ANY major sporting event, get there at least and hour early, or you'll be waiting all night watching the game from the parking lot!

So, I'm from the DC area and I've been here twice now while visiting my sister, since she lives close to this Taco Mac location and it's a good spot for casual dining.

We chose Taco Mac for two reasons: we needed a place where we could hopefully find the Caps game and it had to be a place where we could bring our cute and adorable niece, the reason for our visit to the Atlanta area. This place accommodated both requests right away.

At this point, I'd like to give props to the coolest waiter in all of Taco Mac's history, the dude from Falls Church, Virginia who works there and gives awesome customer service. He actually wasn't our main waiter, but we got to know him when he brought us our drinks. (Sorry - I never caught his name).

When he first came by with our drinks, he noticed our Washington Capitals t-shirts and noticed we were in distress. We told him our woes of not having the Caps game at our TV. He said, "I'll fix it". We told him not to worry because it was only showing on Center Ice, so he probably wouldn't be able to get it anyhow.  He said again, "Don't worry - I'll find it". So we carried on and ordered our food and drinks. GREAT beer selection for beer lovers, btw. Craft beers R they.

Anyhow, a few minutes in to the game and BOOM, Caps game right on our TV. Are you kidding me? This guy rocked! We never ever get to watch them when we're away from home and thanks to the Falls Church dude whose name we didn't catch, there it was.

Our food came timely and it was good. I had the Buffalo Chicken Tenders and my sister had the Quesadillas. The baby had a grilled cheese and it looked money.  I actually may have eaten half of hers when her mom went to the bathroom. But that's neither here nor there.

So, if you're a DC Sports fan (or any team sports fan) and you're in the Atlanta area and want a place with more TVs than parking spaces (yes that is a challenge at times), good casual food, a spectacular beer selection, kid friendly, real nice staff and the coolest waiter in the world from Falls Church, VA? Go here. At once!

The beer selection is awesome (as it should be).  However, this location was really pushy about desserts!  I didn't get it...but the waitress asked us if we saved room for dessert every time she came to the table.  HELLO!  We weren't even through with our meals and we said "no."  Do you honestly think we are going to change our mind after eating all the freaking food we consumed?  Settle down.

Nothing worse than ice-cold french fries and onion rings.  The burgers and other sandwiches we had were great, but seriously... cold fries and onion rings?!  UNACCEPTABLE!

Look, I know this is a bar and I'm not expecting them to prepare crème brûlée or coq au vin... but hot fries and onion rings-- HELL YEAH, I expect it.  Just saying.

If I was just here drinking and watching a game.  I'd give it five stars.  Great vibe and lots and lots and lots of beer.

It's Taco Mac, what else can you say. Great beer selection, 2 projection screens and flat screens all around. I don't eat here since they don't have any vegetarian options (the one veg wrap is nasty anyway). They've got chips and salsa but the salsa is always so friggin' hot and spicy I can't handle it! Otherwise, it's your typical sports bar. I'm not a regular here but if you want to catch a game it's a great place to hang. Service is usually OK but just OK.

Great beer selection as always.  I had the Das Boot with Warsteiner's Oktoberfest and it was great.  Our table split the 50 wings, orders of fries, and the queso.  This is a great deal if everyone is willing to share.  The lemon pepper was a little to lemony but we pushed through it.

Fast service, knowledgeable staff, and good food.  What more can you ask for from a Sports Bar that has an incredible beer selection?

Taco Mac now has a "Brewniversity" program where you can earn beer-drinking degrees (up to a Ph.D., followed by Professor, Chair, Dean, etc.) by drinking all of the kinds of beers they carry at Taco Mac. I tried to work out how many days/weeks/months/years it would take you to get to 1000 beers (no more than 6 in any given day ~ does that seem like too much to you??), but my brain hurt too much. We skipped the beer and tried the fajitas this time. A bit too skimpy on the cheese and waaaaay too much sour cream on the plate, but all in all, just fine. Something different from the average chain pub.

This Taco Mac is a mixed bag when I go in.  Sometimes there are tons of kids, sometimes there are a lot of young teenagers, sometimes 40's and up grabbing a beer after work.  It can be a little loud to carry on a conversation.  I give it a three because the food is OK and the place has the potential to be fun with a group of friends, but no cigar with me.  It is close to where I live so if I wanna grab a beer and some food later at night this is an option.  I do not believe all Taco Mac's to be created equal.  I have been to a couple that a lot more going on than this particular location.

I love Tracy's review -  I never understood why you would name the place TACO MAC, if you didn't have Mac Daddy Tacos, but whatever.

It's your basic sports bar, ala Appleby's with one exception.  They have a ton of beer on tap.  So if you are a beer connoisseur then you will find yourself really digging this place.

Otherwise, there's nothing too special here aside from the appetizers.  Most appetizers are HUGE or at least enough to stop into the place to eat them.

I wouldn't say that you should opt for the appetizer INSTEAD OF an entree, but you could very well stop in and grab an appetizer if you can't make it home in time to eat.

I like this place because I can get there without much of a highway hassle and I can leave with little DUI worry.
There's a good chance I'll be able to watch UFC, Chelsey Football and The Falcons (of course)...and there's never a shortage of cute 25+ish women, a plus for the recently single.

Brad the bartender hooks me up and will tell you to get a room if find yourself getting a bit too close with your new friends.

It's open good and late too.

I don't know how someone could write a review about this place and not express their point of view as someone who is not fond of Sports Bars in general.  Normally sports bars do not offer side attractions, like shot girls, but for some reason Taco Mac near the Mall of GA feels that it is appropriate almost every weekend.

I would not recommend any guy to take a date to this particular location.  Hopefully most of you guys out there have enough common sense to come to that conclusion on your own.

This place does not really create an ideal environment for women either, because of the testosterone in the air and all televisions being primarily tuned into whatever sporting event is on for the day, with the volume on full blast; however, I have learned through the years that some ladies love that kind of atmosphere.

The food is "Taco Mac-ish", which is a new word I created used to describe food that is greasy, and primarily consists of Chicken Wings and Mexican dishes made with an American touch.

The beer is the best part of the restaurant.  They have somewhere close to 200 bottled beers and 50 or so beers on tap to choose from. The best part about the beer selection is if you drink 200 different types, they make you a t-shirt! Wow, that is neat, unless you can figure out that making your own t-shirt and buying beer at the convenience store is one-thousand dollars cheaper.  But hey, then you would not be an official "Passport Member."  You would just be another poser.
