The wings are good. The selection of beer is awesome - it IS Taco Mac, after all.
However, if all I wanted were good wings and beer, I would stay home. It is easy enough to grab a good six pack or growler and DIY.
What is missing here is attention to detail. Details like french fries which are served cold. Yes, cold.
While I can understand cold fires, and that they can recover from that issue, I was presented today with an issue that will not fly. I sent the celery back, as it looked like something from last Tuesday. When the food was returned with hot fries, the same old lame celery was returned. I was told that "This celery is processed outside our facility, and this is as good as we have".
OK, no problem. Fess up and tell me the facts. I will spend my lunch money wisely.
Next time, Summits Wayside Tavern. I bet they will be happy to see me, and provide a much better product. I will report on them next week. Oh, and the beer list at Summits is way good, too.
First off, this sports bar chain restaurant in the sleepy town of Cumming has a very impressive draft beer selection. They had a nitro stout that I liked a lot. If I were to ever return, it would be exclusively to partake in this variety of beers.
The wings were ho-hum. They were a little bit dry, small, and some were malformed. The hot sauce is a joke. If you consider yourself a spice connoisseur of any skill level, just go straight for the death sauce. The death sauce has a nice kick and it is pretty good.
The habanero BBQ sauce is OK.
Also, they nickel-and-dime you for things like celery, bleu cheese, and the privilege of splitting your order into two different sauces. It isn't very expensive but who does that?
I'm surprised that the wet-nap didn't show up on the bill.
What's not to like? They have about half a million beers, 50 on tap, great wing selection, a friendly staff and a cool promotion on Thursday night where you get a glass when you order the Special. If you ever have a problem (hey, it happens) just ask for a manager and they will make it right.
They also have more 50" HDTV's than any sports nut could want in a place.
If you dont like wings, they have typical bar fare and even something that my meat-averse wife can enjoy.
They lose one star b/c they will no longer serve "lemon pepper and hot wing sauce" over wings for us. IDK why, but it was darn good while it lasted.
As far as I can tell, this TMac is the same as all the other TMacs in the area. Â I love their beer selection and it's a great spot for a couple of cold ones with the boys. Â The casual atmosphere has really permiated the wait staff so if you're easily agitated by slow service, stay away.
Review Source:Don't get me wrong, I eat here...A LOT! Â The food is usually great, the beer is plentiful and the selection is VAST! Â But the main reason I don't give this place a better rating is the inconsistency of the service which is usually BAD! Â There is obviously a lack of communication between the servers and the kitchen, because my orders are rarely 100% correct. Â And heaven forbid if you ask the person who delivers your food to get you something else, because you won't get it! Â It has gotten to the point where I expect to have to repeat myself multiple times. Â I also always order at least two drinks because the servers never seem to be able to keep up with the refills. Â One thing this place does do well is handle large parties! Â We come here with my kid's sports teams regularly and they usually handle them very well. Â BUT, there is definitely a service issue that I wish they would recognize and address. Â I also wish they would come up with some more wing varieties because their wings are awesome!
Review Source:Great wings!! They have so many different flavors for wings and its always hard making the decision  on what i want because they are all good. They have a great chips and queso dip that also comes with soft tortilla shells.
It is an upscale sports bar. They have so many different beers on draft and no matter where your sitting there is always a tv facing you. The service is great and everyone is extremely nice, it is always hard not to leave a big tip because you do leave impressed
I really love this place for the vast selection of beers. Â All together, the food is alright. Â Like the flavor profiles are all similar and a little muddled, but the wings are decent.
Any way, back to the reason I come to this place, the beer selection. Â 100 or so beers on draft, 150/200 beers by the bottle, and a brew club that celebrates having tasted your way through the menu. Â At different intervals of styles and labels tried, the restaurant offers different rewards, including reduced beer prices on large pours for higher tier completion.
TIP: Start with the bottles to get the larger pours and reduced prices because once you reach that tier and are going for the next one, you won't get the benefit of pour size if you are left drinking on the bottles.
Good food. Â Great wings and large variety of beer. Â Waitstaff is average. Â Sometimes long waits especially after little leave games. Â Can be loud, but is expected. Â Love the amount of tv's tuned to a great variety of sports channels. Â If your is not on, just as one of the staff and they will switch it for you!
Review Source:Went here for lunch after a long hike. Â The service was ok. Â Maybe it was because we were all starving but it seemed like a long wait before the waiter came to take our drink orders. Â Once we were finally greeted by our server he was prompt and courteous. Â I ordered the fish tacos which I thought were pretty good for a chain restaurant. Â The kids menu is what I had a problem with. Â My seven year old actually turned to me and said that McDonald's had much better burgers because at least they had pickles on them. Â Sure enough, his burger had nothing on it but some ketchup. Â When we asked they brought us out a bowl of pickles but I thought that lettuce and tomatoes were pretty standard with a burger. Â My other son ordered the nachos and that is what really ticked me off. Â They simply piled a stack of tortilla chips on a plate and melted some cheddar cheese over the top! Â There was no meat, beans, salsa or anything else. Â I could have ordered the endless chips and salsa for the entire table for a $1.00 less! Â I don't think its a restaurant's job to make sure that my child eats a balanced meal but my child would have gotten a healthier meal eating at McDoanld's! Â I guess next time I eat there I will leave my kids at home and stick with my yummy fish tacos!
Review Source:Talk about unassuming, this place has the best selection of beer in Georgia (and maybe even in the south!) Â 100 taps and 200 bottles, and it's not all Coors, Miller and Bud.
Was here last week & looking for a quick bite to eat late one night. Â It's a pretty big place with a bar area almost as big as the restaurant area. Â Lots of TV screens so I'd really classify this as a sports bar but with an amazing selection of beer that rotates (new beers in every month).
The service took a while as we sat ourselves in the bar. Â I actually had to get up and ask for menus. Â But once our server knew we wanted to order, she was very good. Â Food was marginal, it's a typical sports bar. Â But hands down if you are looking for a great beer, go here!
Taco Mac, I have always loved you but you have changed over the years. Â The onion rings are not as crisp as they used to be and the wings flavored as hot are more like a dull mild and don't have enough sauce. Â
With the looks of the new menu, I feel like this is turning into Applebee's. Â I have no problem with selling out, but don't change your quality in the process of doing it. Â I would like my wings and onion rings to be the same as they were a year ago, people like consistency. Â
The food is still good, but just not what it used to be. Â Service is pretty good here, except for the last time I went our server was pretty slow, but one out of five isn't so bad.
Thursday is pint night and their advertisment says one glass per person, which is a rip because Summits will give you as many glasses as you drink.
I came up here with a group of friends one Saturday evening. Â The place was packed, but that's hardly unusual. Â They have the usual amazing beer selection, and the food was as good as always. Â We even managed to play a card game which got a few strange looks from other nearby tables. Â The service was pretty good, considering how busy they were. Â The wait was a little long, but then they also had just had a whole softball team or something come in to have dinner, so they were kinda heavily sat with large groups.
Review Source:This is a pretty awesome place to come drink various beers, hang out, maybe play some Big Buck Hunter, and eat some pretty good bar food. Â We ordered a pitcher of PBR ($8!) and got harassed a little by our beer snob relatives, until more friends showed up and ordered the same thing. Â
We got the queso to share at the table, and it's pretty good queso, which is served with tortilla chips, soft tortillas, and salsa. Â It's pretty tasty. Â I got a salad and wings, which according to my sister is the way to do it at Taco Mac. Â It was pretty good, and while the hot wings didn't feel hot when I was eating them, the combo of sitting on the warm-ish patio and eating wings made me sweaty.
The patio is the place to sit if you want to punk kids with car alarms, make fun of people's ex-boyfriends, and have ice fights, if you were wondering.
