Everything in the place was sticky, even the food.  A chicken burrito that was the consistency of wallpaper paste, with a slice of processed cheese melted atop.  Completely flavorless and uninspired.  You could toss a rock in this neighborhood and hit  a better Mexican restaurant.
Review Source:Um. Â Not impressed. Â Not even a little. Â Yeah, it's Mexican owned, operated and there's only a minimal presence of English in the place. Â Univision on the tv. Â Spanish language posters on the walls. Â By all indications, this should have been great.
But I guess are lousy cooks in Mexico, too. Â And the meal they made us here was just not good. Â How do you screw up a burrito? Â I mean, really? Â The chicken was tasteless and sticky; "Wallpaper paste" were the words my dining companion was finally able to utter.
Lake County, Illinois is home to so many wonderful little authentic taqueria and carniceria. Â This is not one of them.
