I think the two things that stand out the most for me are the service and the atmosphere. The inside has a really cool pub vibe, dark floors, tin ceiling tiles... just great overall ambiance for a tavern. Every time I've been, the service is really something to rave about. Great wine recommendations, knowledgeable and attentive staff and everyone working together to make the whole experience better. On our last visit, our waiter took an extra step to make sure there were no croutons on my salad after I told him no bun for my burger due to a gluten allergy. Other waitstaff cleared our empty plates as they walked by. It was obvious that the staff works together quite nicely and that sets a great tone for the diner's experience. The food is awesome. I like the Juicy Deucy burger, but I've heard both the wings and sandwiches are great as well. It's a great addition to downtown Tarpon which has been severely lacking for a while.

This place has an amazing, ever changing beer selection and the food has been phenomenal every time I've been here. The food specials and "keep the pint" nights will keep me coming back!

We visited Tarpon Springs to go to Howard Beach and stopped here afterward for beer and appetizers.  The atmosphere was great, Andy and his wife were wonderful, friendly hosts.  A large selection of draft beers, local and international.  The food was great as well, fish tacos are excellent!  I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

    Nice addition to Tarpon Springs!

Tarpon Tavern has a upmarket rustic atmosphere with a terrific selection of craft, imported and domestic beers as well as a good wine selection, great atmosphere and vibe and is already very popular with the locals.

The Tavern has a diverse, eclectic menu for a pub and a lovely patio for outdoor dining. Prices are moderate to high, but be forewarned that the happy hour only lasts till 6pm, which is not competitive with the other establishments in the area. A tad disappointing.

I had a grouper sandwich which was seasoned and cooked perfectly, although I am not a big fan of the oversize ciabatta buns that they serve sandwiches on. The fish or meat seems to be engulfed by all this bread! My partner ordered a burger which was of good quality, not outstanding, but the patty portion seemed small, perhaps because it was completely overtaken by the ciabatta bun! We also ordered the seafood gumbo that we thought was a bit too salty, and when we returned it, rather than take it off the bill, they offered us a dessert as a substitute. We chose the key lime pie which I suspect was from our fav pie shop, JJ Gandy's on Alt 19.

We plan to go back to enjoy the music one of these days and try other entrees as it's a bit early to pass final judgement on the food. I should acknowledge the good service, we ate the bar and our server was very attentive and knowledgeable.

But contrary to some of the other reviews that thought this place was inexpensive, our bill with tip totalled $80.00 for  two, only 2 sandwiches, soup and two rounds of drinks (beer and wine) so I wouldn't call it a good value.

Randomly making a deposit at Suntrust on a Friday afternoon I noticed this cool little building across the street, the owner or chef maybe was brushing off the windows before opening and I was intrigued. Coincidentally later that night I drive by and the place was bumping so I was doubly intrigued. Enter Saturday night, a few of us wanted to grab some food and a few beers, low maintenance. I decided to see if this place served food, to my delight they do and not just typical bar food flare (yes they have the chicken tenders and such if that's what you're into) they have an entire vegetarian section on the menu! We headed over there about 9pm and there was a good crowd of people on the patio and inside. The selection of wine and beers is good, easily 30 taps besides the bottle selection. We ordered drinks and an appetizer while trying to decide on entrees. The sangria was among the best I've ever had, even the boys agreed despite their resistance to try it. They ordered Dunedin apricot wheat, supporting a local brewery alone got the thumbs up from us. The appetizer of chicken tenders and my side salad came up quick. I can't speak for the tenders personally but there was nothing left in the basket so my guess is they were good. For dinners the boys both ordered the pollo pesto sandwich one on ciabatta the other on a wheat kaiser, both disappeared. I had the grouper sandwich equally good with a mango salsa and guacamole. The vibe is cool classic rock playing and a different game on each of the three TVs inside. We will definitely be back, excited that a place like this is open and thriving in Tarpon. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because although our server was on point, I think they may need to hire another server to help her out on the weekend with the size of the crowd.

This past Friday my wife and I who live in Tarpon Springs went with a group to the Tarpon Tavern.  Both of us were thrilled with the Tavern it will be our new favorite spot I think.  It is only beer and wine and has over 30 beers on tap.  Very homey atmosphere with a large patio on the side if weather is permitting.  Inside seats about 60 people.  We had wine, beer on Friday night and dinner.  Both dishes were excellent and well presented.  Prices we found to be very reasonable as well with mains from about $9-15ish, beer and wine from about $4ish up.  Very wide selection from the menu as well and they are happy to customize as requested and they also cater as too.

We liked it so much we decided to go back on Saturday and try the new brunch which was the 1st day they had it.  Service was a tad slow, but the place was crowded.  Again prices were very reasonable and the section unbelievable.  My wife had the Grillabes and Grits ( I am not a Grits fan but tasted it and I would order it next time) and said it was the best she has EVER had.  I had the massive build your own omelet which was awesome.  Came with Tarpon Tavern taters (best around) and Tarpon Tavern biscuit.  Looked like cornbread, but was not and very tasty.

The music playing during brunch was not loud and very appropriate.  We had brunch on the patio and it was delightful, but as it gets chilly here it would be nice to have heaters which I am told they are working on.  All in all we would rate the Tarpon Tavern 10 stars.

Excellent new pub!  Great beer selection & food is far above normal pub fare.  Brad the bartender is friendly and very knowledgeable to help with beer choices.  Will definitely be coming back.

Amazing beer selection. Wine and fantastic food too. Very friendly and happy atmosphere. Inside seating and outside patio seating. Went on a Friday and there was live music and just a great atmosphere. They have their own parking lot so you don't have to park on Tarpon Ave.  Multiple televisions but inside music is also upbeat and appropriate for the atmosphere, ridiculously large selection of great beers on tap of multiple % Alcohol for all tastes. Bottled beer and Wine too. The food is above and beyond for a pub. Real food cooked by a real chef. This place is no joke. My meal was $9. CRAZY! Two entrees, a draft beer, an ice tea and a glass of water, total check was $27.00!!!
