I've eaten here before and have always enjoyed the BBQ...rich smoke, but not too smokey and nice friendly people.
Today though my brisket was more or less just pure fat and wasn't edible. Since they are always super busy at lunch I didn't go back to complain as the ribs and sausage that I got were about as good as it gets.
Everyone has a bad day and this was mine for the brisket, but buddy those ribs will always keep me coming back for more.
Woods' BBQ and family are fantastic! We Yelped the joint on our way to Port A and were extremely happy with our choice. Mr. and Mrs. Woods both entertained our questions and were more than happy to hear our explanation of Yelp. I'm not a huge BBQ lover, so it's got to be great for me to like it. With that said, Woods' brisket may be the best I've ever eaten. My husband, on the other hand, loves BBQ. He loved it all, especially the flavorful, fall-off-the-bone ribs. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the cornbread, granted we came in well after lunch.
Review Source:Found this on Yelp while driving through town. Â Definitely worth the stop. Amazing ribs, brisket and smoked chicken! Â Also don't miss the yellow squash and sweet potatoes. Â Someone in our group had the tasty baker - largest baked potato ever. Â Too full to try the deserts, but they looked great. Â Very friendly staff!
Review Source:I can't believe this place has not been rated yet! Â The food is amazing. Â Some of the best BBQ I've had. Â The service is based on high quality hospitality. Â While in there I over heard a local say, "Everything is great here." Â I was really impressed. Â Stop by this small town if you are in the area. Â They have a website too.
