Tavern On the Rail

We have been twice and really liked it.  The food and atmostphere are great.  The last time we went was for our anniversary and the staff was very accomodating and took great care of us!  We had the prime rib and it was delicious!  I highly recommend this little out of the way place.

I have to start by saying our service was impeccable. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. I had the scallops and they were delicious. It is on the pricier side for the area, but you get a lot of food for what you pay for. We went in late September for my birthday and there was only one other couple. I imagine it is a lot more busy in the summer. If we are ever in the Lake Anna area, I would definitely come back!

The decor reminds me of Cracker Barrel but the food quickly erases small town! Home cooked side dishes accompany the best seafood & steak we've had in a long time. It is a little pricey for the area the restaurant is in but the food is definitely worth it!!
