Very unforgettable. I'm somewhat new to the area and was looking forward to eating here with the kids. Â We went around 6pm on a Sunday and it was fairly empty. I liked the atmosphere but food always prevails in my book.
My wife got a bacon cheeseburger. There was no bacon on it.
My kids had cheese fries w cheese on the side. No cheese came with it. We told the lady who brought the order to our table and she brought some over 20minutes later (no exaggeration)
I ordered the chopped chicken salad with dressing mixed in. Dressing was on the side. Â
Two other things I didnt like:
1-Why dont they combine all the salad parts instead of separate them into little sections for each ingredient- hate that)
2- For the cheese fries, you dont use  Merks cheddar which I know you have? That wasnt Merks we got for the fries but processed velvetta or watered down Merks.
Bottom line was everything was just ok. I wont remember that meal in another day, nor will I choose to go there vs to Sarnies next door. Â Like I said, very unforgettable place. Â Its too bad.
So I bought a groupon to teddy fabz, so on a night I did not want to cook we decided to check it out. I thought the hours were til 11pm so at around 8:30 we parked got the stroller out and ran for the door (it was COLD) right before we had got to the door a man ran outside and said "oh no I was trying to get outside before you got out of the car we closed 30 min ago" I was slightly cranky so I said we'll the groupon said you were open til 11 to which he replied "I'm so sorry but we aren't open that late but please come back again. So we went next door to DC sarnies had a craptacular experience so it kind of soured me on returning to teddy fabz. But considering we had a groupon and silly me I was wrong about the times OOPS, we returned. Let me tell you I'm glad we did, it was very clean and comfortable, we had gone over what we had for our groupon by a couple bucks, they told us not to worry about it! The food was great, everything was ready pretty quickly as well. So this was a while back that we had made our first attempt so imagine my surprise when the guy who ran outside came up to our table and thanked us for coming back. Now keep in mind I have bright pink hair and my hubby and I are covered in tattoos but it was still nice he remembered us! Turns out I believe he was the owner. Â I will lay down my only gripe the reason I can't give 5 stars.... The hours, I really wish at least the drive-thru was open a bit later BUT this is what it's been like living in the burbs.
Review Source:Great casual dining restaurant with good food and reasonable prices. Â Customer service is good and the owner is often there to ensure everything is running smoothly. Â I eat there for lunch about once a week and have never been disappointed - no high end food - mostly sandwiches, salads, and sides. Â They also have a drive-thru for people on the run.
Review Source:I have called a few times recently trying to place an order for delivery to buy lunch for my team at work and every attempt I've made they state "I'm sorry, we do not have a driver" when I ask if he will be in soon I'm told "no he didn't show up today." This last call I made was today and I asked "do you still deliver because I've heard this the past couple times I've tried placing an order" he goes "let me ask my manager hang on one second." then placed me on hold for at least 2min (I hung up at that point.) it's not easy finding a local place for a business to take a delivery order for lunch with more options than a cold sandwich or pizza thats why i was excited to find teddyfabz but apparently it was too good to be true.
Review Source:Wow, pretty confused about the recent bad ratings here. Â We too had a Groupon set to expire, and went here for lunch on our way out of town on NYE. Â When we walked in I noticed the warm decor right away. Â Everything looked clean and well-maintained.
The menu was extensive and it took us a good ten minutes to figure out what to have. Â While we were deciding, my 4 yo looked over the glass barrier of the dressings station and said "wow, they have so many good-looking things here!" Â I guess she was impressed by the choice of toppings, lol.
I wasn't in an adventurous mood so I ordered gyros with extra tzatziki, and my husband got a chicken caesar wrap (we split both.) Â My daughter had the kids' burger but I didn't try any of it, so I can't comment on the burgers. It looked fine, though.
The wrap was quite good; many times lately I've gotten chicken wraps that are either watery bc they slap the washed lettuce right in, or are just *blah* bc they don't put any dressing on. Â Not only did I not need to ask for extra dressing, but the dressing that was on there was sharp and tasty, just like it should be (anything caesar seems to be a lost art around here lately, as restaurants cut corners. Not so here. Â And believe me, any restaurant owners that are reading this: customers DO notice little things like that.)
I could tell the gyros was of a good quality as soon as I looked at it. Â It was cut thicker than most and there was tons of it. Â The sauce was fine, I mean it isn't like I make at home but hello, no restaurant is ever going to accomplish that. Â Anyway, we both really enjoyed both sandwiches, and thought they were a bargain even without the Groupon. Â Again, it's nice to find a place that isn't cutting corners everywhere you look. Â We have personally dumped some of our favorite restaurants because of that....
The fries were actually awesome, crunchy on the outside and came with melted Merkt's cheese. OMG, I love fries with that kind of cheese and haven't seen them on any menu for ages! Â
All portions were big, and my husband wasn't even able to finish his half of the gyros (sorry to say, I was able to!)
Anyway, the only negative thing I can say is that I don't like raw onions on my gyros, I prefer them sauteed like they do in most places. Â Oh, and I thought it was weird that napkins were brought to our table as opposed to being in a dispenser, but maybe they were just trying to avoid looking like a hot dog joint. Â I was definitely needing more and had nowhere to easily get them.
Overall really was into this place and will visit again soon!
We went to Teddy Fabz to use a groupon that was about to expire. We tried to use it two months ago, but walked in at lunch and was told we had the dinner groupon (didn't even know there was an option, but whatever).
We get there last night, 2 days before the groupon is set to expire. I ordered the chicken gyros plate and my wife ordered the skirt steak daily special. "We're out of skirt steak," he says. "Then I'll have the beef sausage combo," requests my wife. "You're going to kill me, but we're out of sausage as well." Sooooo, she got the chicken Caesar. Hey, at least they didn't run out of lettuce. (She doesn't really eat carbs)
So, my chicken gyros were decent enough. The tzatziki was above average, but I've made much better at home and had much better elsewhere. The greek side salad was probably the highlight of the whole thing. Fries were fair. I should've known I was looking at an average meal at best when he told me that the gyros comes with lettuce, tomato and honey mustard. Â Maybe the normal gyros comes with tzatziki, no lettuce and onions instead but I'll never know.
I just find that when there are 20 places in five square miles that offer similar things that you have to find a way to stand out and running out of food at 7pm on a weekend 3 days before a groupon expires is just bad for business. Especially return business.
The Italian Beef sandwich was not the best. It looked fantastic when they brought it to the table, but the main disappointment was the bread. There was something weird about it. Other than that it would have probably been a pretty good sandwich. The chips with bacon and cheese were OK. Its a good idea, but the taste was still very plain. The chocolate cake was not so great, either. No complaints about the hotdog. The customer service was very good. The people working behind the counter and the lady who brought our food were all very nice and pleasant which seems to be rare these days. I would be willing to try this place again and maybe order something different, but for me personally its not the go to for Italian Beef.
Review Source:Best place to grab a THICK gyro, or Italian Beef on Garlic Bread(real minced).
Their Greek Chicken dinner was pretty awesome on my last dinner visit. Moist, perfectly seasoned chicken! Fried pickles and spicy apricot sauce go so well together. Love the gyro burger, and the one with pastrami stacked on top as well.
This place was called Zippy's before Teddy and Cynthia turned this place into a success. Lunch is really busy, CALL AHEAD & take out. Dinner is relaxed, nice to watch a game on the TV's. The service is awesome, if a detail is ever missed (rare), they fix it! I cook a lot at home, but this is my Chicago Style Fast(Fab) Food guilty pleasure...
I could not believe this place had such awesome ratings. Â I had actually been looking forward to coming here after seeing how awesome people thought it was on Yelp and then snagging a Groupon. Â I thought it was sub par food, but big portions and cheap prices. Â Everything thing tasted like it was frozen and thrown on the grill or in the fryer.. nothing really stood out to me taste-wise. Â I tried some sweet potato fries and fried pickles. Â The sweet potato fries were just okay. Â The fried pickles were beyond disappointing. Â I am a fried pickles fanatic and I felt like I had to force myself to eat theses. Â They were so greasy the breading slipped off. Â The sauce was not very good either... it was a jam consistency and super sweet. Â I ordered the Char Cheddar burger and it was just okay as well.
The service was quick and friendly... I just wasn't digging the food. Â Also, it was super cold in here.. you would think they would have had the fireplace on in November!
TeddyFabz
Update: Â I was contacted by the owner of TeddyFabz after my original review. Â He was disappointed with my review and contacted me to find out if we would give TeddyFabz another try, this time as his guests.
My co-workers and I went to lunch on Wednesday. Â We ordered the following:
Western Bacon Burger (absolutely delicious)
Gyros x2 (Probably the best I've had in a really long time)
Onion Rings (crispy, tender, very tasty)
Sweet Potato Fries (very tasty)
Fried Zucchini (the best part of lunch!)
And I ordered an "everything" milk shake (chocolate, strawberry & vanilla mixed). Â This was awesome, but not on the menu....just tell them you want all three flavors!
Teddy welcomed us as if we were old friends, (I guess he recognized me from my YELP photo, because he was waiving at me when I walked in!). Â He even sat with us for a few minutes to make sure we were happy customers.
The menu is surprisingly huge, lots of choices, took us about 5 minutes to decide what to have. Â Once we ordered we went over to the prep window to see some of the other dishes being served. Â The salads looked awesome. Â Big portions with fresh ingredients! Â Next time I'm ordering a salad with my "everything" shake!
TeddyFabz hold to the truth that CUSTOMER SERVICE is #1! Â I will be a repeat customer.
Another menu item to try: homemade fried pickles served with apricot-chipotle sauce.
Quick, good place to eat lunch! Don't go in there expecting a nice, sit down restaurant, because it is more of a glorified fast food place. Don't get me wrong, it is very nice inside, but still a fast food place. I would compare it to Portillo's but nicer. The owner is always there to greet you with a friendly smile and the food is delicious. Tip-- Order a kids meal if  you aren't too hungry. You can order it at any age. Smaller portion of the italian beef, burger, or chicken strips, fries, and a drink. Just the right portion! (And priced at $5, you end up saving money) Give it a try! If you are really hungry, the Char-Cheddar burger is awesome! Great place to pick up lunch- You can call in your order and pick it up at the drive thru.
Review Source:WOW this place is horrible. Â Things started off well, we got in line, ordered, filled up our drinks and sat down. Â Then things started to go awry. Â First of all, they don't keep napkins anywhere, you have to ask for them at the counter. Â Ketchup, salt and pepper are also sparse. Â You have to steal them from other tables when people leave. Â Another precious commodity is silverware...they seriously won't give it to you unless you have something you need silverware for. Â Even then they give you plastic, unless you tell them you have ribs...then they give you regular. Very odd. Â
The server brought out our salads and one had dressing on the side and the other didn't. Â When we asked where the other dressing was, she told us that it was already on the salad (why would they put dressing on one and not on the other...). Â We looked at the salad, which CLEARLY didn't have dressing on it, and when we told her it really didn't look like there was dressing on it, she laughed and said, "Um OK" and walked away. Awesome. Â
The food was mediocre at best. Â The seasoning on the turkey burger made it almost unbearable to eat. Â The burger was dry and bland. Â Sweet potato fries were thin and shriveled. Â The ribs were OK. Â The best thing we ordered were the zucchini sticks--which were actually really delicious. Â We all left feeling unsatisfied and regretting our meal.
PS. Website claimed they had beer and wine...they didn't.
PPS. My pregnant coworker asked if they put MSG in their food and which items did not have MSG and they told her everything has MSG in it...
PPPS. Who in the world is giving this place good reviews?!?!?
Others have describe the ambiance well - sort of like Portillos or Buonna. Â Came here on a Thursday noon and it was crowded, but service was fast. Â We each had the Pastrami sandwich ($7 bare) and an order of fried pickles (2.50). Â The Pastrami was pretty good quality, but, oddly, served in a soft sub roll! Â Still, it tasted good. Â The pickles were a large order served with a side of apricot "salsa". Â Yummy! Â Its a well run place popular with all sorts of people - the Senior Citizen "mens club" to the 20-something girls playing some sort of board game. Â Worth a trip for lunch.
Review Source:Not fabulous, but still a great place to spend your time.
TeddyFabz is pretty much a spin off of Portillo's. If you like Portillo's, you will like TeddyFabz. If you don't like Portillo's, you won't like TeddyFabz either.
I tried Italian Beef with Garlic Bread. It was decent, about same as Portillo's. The Itallian Beef tasted better after I added hot peppers.
The difference is TeddyFabz give a lot more beef than Portillo's do, which is always welcoming.
It saddened me to watch the restaurant having a handful of customers.
This place deserves as much customers as Portillo's is having, if not more.
They serve the same, or better, quality of food with larger quality at same price.
It is unfortunate that TeddyFabz is located not the most business friendly location.
TeddyFabz isn't worth a miles of driving, but if you happened to be near by the restaurant and want to taste Portillo's, try TeddyFabz.
You will be much happier for it.
A favorite near-by lunch spot of mine. Lots of selection and quick service for the food you get. The burgers are verrrrry juicy and my personal favorite, the Chicago hot dog, is never bad. The fries are delicious, too!
Service at the counter has always been friendly, which always receives an extra plus in my book. Your typical American fare lunch spot, similar to Portillos, just not quite as well-known.
Its been a while since I have been here, probably dating back to Zippy's days.
Wife works in the area and recently bought a Groupon.
In the 'hood to watch our daughter's bball team take on Deerfield, we ended up here for lunch.
Right from the get go, the place was "off". Â Large "sandwich board" outside touted their pizza by the slice. Â Walked in and my son ordered it, was told by the owner manning the register that the wait would be 20 min. Â I asked about the slices and he said they do not have any ready. Â HUH, at lunch time? Take down the sign then.
He ended up getting a Jr Burger. Â Owner asked: what kind of cheese? "American". Â Looked at the bill later: 40 cents extra, gee thanks!
The beef came out cold, but when dipped in the au jus was ok.
We also ordered Onion Rings, which came out 20 MINUTES after we ordered and about 10 min after we got all our food. Â I was done with my sandwich, when they came out. Â I asked the kid why it took so long, he just shrugged his shoulders. Â I asked again, pointing out that I was done eating at that point. Â He shrugged his shoulders again and said "Sorry". Â Assuming they were out of rings or they are cooked to order, should be about 5 min the fryer max right?
I could have made a big deal out it, but that would not be a fun way to spend a Sat afternoon. Â I will just cross this place off my list.
This place is SUPRISINGLY good. Like one of the many groupon sheep in the world, I bought the groupon for them ( 10 bucks for 20 worth of food? Hell, why not!) and took my boyfriend for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised.
Here's the breakdown of our consumption.
1) Sweet potato fries. They were perfect! Fried just right, not too salty, and matched with yummy ranch. Also a crazy good size for two bucks and change, where we split it between two people and were not at all hungry or wanting.
2) Fried pickles. Now, I fancy myself somewhat of a fried pickle afficiando. This did not disappoint one bit. Again, a perfect portion to split between two people, and matched with a slightly spicy apricot chutney.
3) Â Large pizza with pepperoni and gardienera ( sp?). Again, really pleasantly suprised. With the plethora of food on their menu, I almost expected the pizza to suck. It really did not. It was actually pretty good, and the gardienera was also quite tasty!! I asked for grated parmesan, and it was the large flakes, not the sprinkles a la Sbarros style. That really added to the quality of the pizza, believe it or not.
Bottom line? I would totally come back. for 22 bucks total, we ate like kings, and pretty good food quality  to boot.
The best thing about TeddyFabz that it's both a fast food restaurant and a place where you can sit and enjoy your food slowly. Â If you're in a hurry, it can be a fast in-and-out place to eat. Â If you have some work to do on your laptop, and you're hungry, you can hang out here comfortably for a while!
I realize I'm echoing the chorus here, but you really should try the chicken gyros. Â The meat is moist and perfectly seasoned. Â It goes very well with the side of honey mustard dressing they give you. Â The sandwich itself is huge, so you really don't need to order a side dish.
Though it is a casual fast-food type place, the interior is modern and classy. Â It definitely doesn't feel like a greasy spoon!
They're food has always been very good for me. They're burgers are fairly priced.. average 5-7 dollars. But what I really like here is their Italian Beef on garlic bread with mozzarella cheese on top with hot peppers. It's amazing. It's a great local restaurant. The owner is always around asking people how their food is and such. You see him socializing with the usuals that come to the restaurant, showing that he really wants to make a connection with his usuals, ensuring future business from them.
But like I said, Italian Beef on garlic bread with mozzarella cheese and hot peppers. Â they also have different sizes for it, so it fitting for all types of eaters.
here is the outline
OVERPRICED - yep
SLOW SERVICE - got it - 15 minutes in the drive thru for a 4 person meal of 3 hot dogs and a chicken sandwich
EMPTY- home depot parking lot is FULL and the inside hot dog stand is 10 deep. This place is 1 customer inside and none outside.
CHECKOUT - took two people to finish the transaction only to find out I was double charged on my credit card.
Like the indigestion you will get from eating here the pain from incompetency sticks around for a while.
UPDATE:
After writing this review Ted wrote me fixed the money issue and offered my family the chance to come back and try the food on him. I have raised the review to 2 stars and I hope that the service as offered puts me in a position to raise the rating further.
Whether you have the Skirt Steak sandwich or the Chicken Croissant Club, the food here is well beyond good, it is exceptional. Â The food is fast and the service is excellent, but don't call this fast food. Â Trying to understand this is not hard as the food is flame grilled and they use very high quality ingredients, and, they care. Â Given the quality, the prices are, in my opinion, very low. Â I've had lunch her 6 or 7 times, but just discovered dinner as well. Â My wife loves the salads too. Â This place cannot be compared to Portillo's as they are much, much better. Â Sorry Portillo's fans, the quality of TeddyFabz is far above what you get there.
Thanks for the attention to quality and the great value, I am not easily impressed but the management has done a great job. Â Even though I now live in SD, I always stop by TeddyFabz when in town.
Ok, but not great.
A step up from your run of the mill fast food chains, but still doesn't measure up to your Portillo's, Patio, etc.  The burgers are pretty large and  tasty but the sweet potato fries were a hugeeee disappointment.  After reading some reviews on here with people raving about them I was excited to try them...but the soggy bagful I got quickly took the excitement right out of me.  I've heard their gyros are pretty good...maybe they can redeem themselves with one if I make another visit.
TeddyFabz is a delicious, non-chain restaurant! I have eaten in there on several occasions and have always had a good experience.
First the ambience. It's Chicago food in a nice place: a clean and calm environment. Complete with a fireplace and a couple nice flatscreens. Usually 'Teddy' is there to oversee your order personally!
As for the food, some of my favorites have been the gyro, the shakes, and the italian beef. Their micro is big enough for many - the larger sandwiches are great for meat-lovers!
Gyros burger. Enough said. I was surprised they actually added tzatziki sauce / tomato / feta / onion as opposed to just slapping some gyros meat on top of the burger.
The burger meat itself was OK - probably could have gotten same quality home-cooked but it was cooked fine and the gyro aspect made it fantastic. I think it would have been great for them to serve it in a pita instead of on a normal bun but I am supposed to be low-carbing it anyway so I picked the bun away anyway.
The atmosphere is minimal. This is a pretty standard burger / gyros / hot dog place.
Price was pretty fair. $14 for two burgers and a basket of fries that were easily shared between Girlfriend and I.
Good place to stop by for some quick, greasy, cheap and delicious fastfood. A few steps above McDonalds, that is for sure. I will absolutely revisit.
I've never eaten at the establishment, but we've carried out from this place about 5 times since June 2010. Â I read somewhere that they have fried pickles, so I had to try them. Â They were great, but greasy. Â Love the saltiness to their fried pickles. Â They also have excellent Italian beef sandwiches, and I appreciate their 3 different sizes. Â Based on another Yelper's review, I tried their chicken gyros---not something I would order again. Just didn't do anything for me. Â The meat wasn't anything special, just shaved meat without much flavor. Â
Their fries are pretty good, but again, I understand with a carryout order, the fries will lose some of their crispness. Â I would order from here again and look forward to trying a burger next time.
Definitely upgraded fast food. Â Their food is very good quality and priced well. Â They make chili with no beans. Â What could be better than that? Â A burger with gyros meat on it, thats what. Â Everything is very good, even the salads. Â Their menu covers all cravings, there is something for everyone. Â The owner is always present and very personable. Â I am gluten free and never have problems finding a variety of what I can eat.
Review Source:For a fast food joint the setting is nice and feels more like an upscale place or sports bar: TVs, spacious room, stone walls. That makes you stick around, have a conversation and savor your food as opposed to shoveling your burger down your throat in 5 minutes and rushing out the door.
Now when it comes to the food, well it's still a fast food joint. The burgers are good, the gyro burger is a good choice. I was disappointed by the sweet potato fries though. They tasted a bit stale and oxidized. Yet, not the quality of burgers of let's say nearby Ram.
Service is fine, efficient with a smile.
So OK place if you want something fast without the hassle of an actual sit down restaurant but yet you want to relax in a nicer setting than a Portillo's.
I can't say much about TeddyFabz. Â It's an upscale/Northshore version of your typical Chicago hot dog/beef joint (think Corner Bakery meets Portillo's), which to me, says we're about to pay waaay too much for a hot dog and tamale. Â But I went anyway (and I was right).
You MUST get the sweet potato fries! Â But they only serve them for dine-in orders so that's how they trap you in (on a positive note, they're hot and steaming when you get 'em). Â The rest of the food is mediocre, at best. Â The hot dog is standard, the beef croissant is deece, and the chopped salad is well, chopped salad. Â Like I said, mediocre.
Come here for the service and cleanliness. Â Don't come here looking for the best food of your life.
Met up with an old friend here for lunch a few weeks ago to catch up on many years of a lost friendship. Â She suggested it since it was a couple of minutes from her office. Â The chicken gyro was very good, my wife ordered a salad that she enjoyed, my son loved his hot dog. Â The only think I did not like was the fried zucchini which was mushy. Â The service was excellent, as the staff was accommodating to any requests. Â It's a bit overpriced for what it is, but Zippy's definitely beats the national chain fast food places.
Review Source:Phenomenal grilled chicken burgers, as well as beefburgers as well. Not "fast food" taste. Everything is well made to detail. Â The owners Teddy & Carol are generally around to greet you. Â In general everything on menu is outstanding, you really should try this place if you've missed it by chance.
The interior is wide and spacious, nicely decorated with a fireplace in one corner. Clean and very comfortable. Prices are fair. Â In summer great to sit outside and eat.
Well Done Teddy & Carol!
The Kolmans/Highland Park
Read a review in the Deerfield paper. Â I tried it about a week ago and ordered the famous italian beef, a greek salad with gyros and a chicken caesar wrap. Â The italian beef, mid size one, was delicious. Â juicy, fresh, and enough meat for another half sandwich. Â I object that peppers were an extra charge but oh well.
the Greek salad was plentiful and since it was a 'take out' order looked good in the container.  a plus.  It was a little light on the romaine lettuce and too much head lettuce.  Ordered a side of  the gyros to add to the salad later.  the manager put them in a separatecontainer so I could heat up later --- excellent in quality and quantity for extra  an $1.75.  And  the greek dressing (homemade) was perfect.  (Heard it was the owner's wife's recipe) Â
I love burgers and while waiting for my carry out order I Â watched the 'cook' make one and it looked too well done and dry. Â But something said I should make a return trip and "eat in".
Well I ordered their char-cheddar burger (merkt's cheddar spread). Â I usually know within a few bites if its 'worth it'. Â In this case - bingo -- nearly perfect. Â Definitely up there with some of the finest diners, drive-ins and dives as Guy would say. Â An 8 napkin sandwich. Â They put a homemade thousand island dressing on it. wow. Â nicely seasoned also providing an overall excellent taste. Â At about $4.25 it definitely surpasssed others of similar ilk. Â However small fries for $1.89 is really too much. (big enough to share with another) Â Love to see them add a partial order to fill the plate when you order the sandwich. Â I'd pay $4.75 Â (50 cents more) for just a handfull of their fresh fries.
Lastly: they make sweet potato fries but only when you eat them at the restaurant. Â they will not give them on a 'to go' order. Â OK, Â make sure you order them and if you can't finish then take home the balance. Â (warm in hot oven to get back to almost fresh). Â Likely the best sweet potato fries around. Â and with a homemade ranch sauce. Â tops.
Fried pickles and onion rings are also fresh and very tasty.
Looks like Deerfield/Northbrook/Highland Park has a new sandwich place that is pleasant, people friendly, good quality and reasonable prices. Â Â Maybe a few tweaks here and there. Â Oh, if you are coming in on the train pick up sandwiches for home at their drive thru window. Â
I know I'll be back...
the burgermaven
Great lunch place for the Deerfield working bees! The food is good, quick and resonably priced. The micro Italian beef is the perfect size, and tasty too boot! The owner is very kind, and is usually behind the counter busting his hump with the rest of his employees. He takes pride in the food they serve, and will make sure his customers are happy. Sweet potatoe fries are a rare find, and I love that they serve them here. Veggie burgers can be a gamble when dining out, but Teddy Fabz serves a good one. They're very accomodating and are willing to make what you want, how you want it.
Always a fan of discounts, I should mention that Walgreens employees get 15% off their bill! Woo hoo!
I am upgrading this place to 4-stars.
I've sampled a lot more of the menu since my last review (yeah, it was only 3 weeks ago, but like I said, it's practically in the parking lot of my work). Â Everything I've had has been really good. Â And I do enjoy the price point.
I will say, today I had the chipotle chicken wrap and I was concerned at first that it seemed a little expensive given that it doesn't come with any sides. Â But then I got the thing and it was HUGE! Â Had I gotten a side, it would have been 2 full meals, easily. Â And it was really really tasty. Â Probably the best thing I've had yet. Â I also recommend the sweet potato fries if you're dining in (you can't get them for takeout). Â
Finally, while I didn't get them today, the fries are a really good portion size. Â The small is definitely enough for one person, probably enough to share, and you shouldn't order the large unless you're planning on sharing!
This place can get really really packed - theres a reason for it. Â The burgers are outstanding, i tried the shroom burger as well as turkey burger and both were quality with all the fixings. Â Also tried their italian beef on garlic bread - outstanding! Â They have a pretty decent sized menu, very comparable to a portillos at about the same price. Â They give you a large portion of fries where i have never ended up finishing a whole basket. Â
Not too pricey, but not extremely cheap either. Â Great interior layout, my favorite place to go for lunch.
The food is better than it used to be when it was Zippy's. Â Everything is made fresh which is good, but when asked to make crispy fries, even specifying that they turn them black, they do not seem to understand the concept, I once had to send the fries back like 10 times until I gave up.
Lack of delivery is disappointing, but the drive-thru is a nice feature.
