Kevin's exuberance made a gray Friday afternoon light up.  Well, the disco ball in the dining area helped too. ( It was someone's birthday ).  The service is fantastic and the food enjoyable.

You should go at your first opportunity.

This place is GREAT! I'm actually really excited about finding this place and can't WAIT to get back here!  I was brought here with work folks at lunch time, although I had planned on getting "breakfast" stuff, I just wasn' t in the mood for breakfast.

I ended up getting a grilled cheese with bacon, and frieds. Was delish! My table seemed to really enjoy everything they got, too.  The portions were great. The food came out quick. The waitress was a hoot. The menu has a *million* things on it, there's definitely an amazing selection to choose from.

The store itself: When you walk in, you're taken into an old-time diner feel, complete with the long "breakfast bar" with swirly-stools. (I can't wait to bring my son here, to sit at the bar). Once you walk passed the bar, it opens up into an actual dining area with real tables. It's a pretty small room, not many windows, very old building. Lots of cute things hanging on the walls. It's filled with cheap old tables that you push together, and those old metal chairs with "pillow-top" cushion. Just due to the fact that its' a bit old and run down is why I subtract one star - because other than that - this place is top notch. LOVE IT.

This place comes highly recommended in my book.

I hardly ever write reviews, although I read everyone's! But Kevin's Place warranted my review today.

My husband and I went to Kevin's Place today. I had been there before when it was the "Cherry Pit" For those of you who have never been here, its a smallish diner, gives the feel of a 1940 diner.

Seeing that we have never been here, I had noticed a man talking to a young family. I couldnt figure out why he was the only one not eating! Well, it turns out THAT is Kevin! He was sitting down with this family over what they have been up to. No sooner, Kevin stroll over to our table, pull up a chair and talk to us as if we have been friends for years! Kevin was incredibly personable and lively, yet, very proud of his food and the restaurant. I was taken right there with him!

I had chicken noodle soup which was better than my grandma's recipe and my husband had the chicken gyros which he claimed were as good if not better than your "typical" gyros.

What moved me the most, is hearing Kevin speak to his employee. Kevin was about to take an order and the busboy was a bit confused over something. I hear Kevin say "Oh, I'm sorry you got confused over that, its ok buddy, you understand it now?" It was so genuine that it made me think how fortunate all the employees at Kevins place are, to have such a great boss!

In conclusion, without a doubt, one of the nicest owners of a restaurant I have ever come across. And the food, typical down home good diner food!
