Great place. Â Beers are delicious, atmosphere is dark and remote, but still fairly loud inside. Â Good place to watch a game. Â Staff is attentive and friendly. Â Limited food menu, basically only appetizers that get shuttled over from the Corner Cafe next door -- same owners or something. Â I wish the lounge area were a little bigger -- when someone flops onto the sofa or the club chairs, they tend to stay in them for hours. Â Plenty of barstools and high tops, just not the most comfortable. Â I wish it were a little closer to home, too, but now, I can't have everything, now, can I?
Review Source:Been here a few times and they are not consistant on having the cider beer which I really like and it one of the reasons I go there. I like the atmosphere. Kinda dark and casual. The last time I went there though the bouncers came up to our table like cops and said that people were complaining about us and gave us no other details and asked us to leave. We did nothing wrong. It was only cause some dumb girls were jealous we were better looking than them and getting all the guys. Anyway, this is a fun place if the staff doesnt kick you out for no reason.
Review Source:I love this place. Great beer selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a "locals" atmosphere that is never pretentious. Order some food ( tasty burgers, wings, or sandwiches)  from the adjacent  Corner Cafe and "have at it !" A good place for a long conversation over a cold beer.  First rate!
Review Source:While I can't speak for the bar, the "gastropub" food that the menu touts is far from it. I ordered the fish of the day cooked with pan crusted macadamia nuts in a burre blance sauce. It tasted of something home cooked, not of restaurant quality, had no flavor what so ever, was greasy and I couldn't finish. It was also a little burnt and they forgot the salt. What a terrible waste of money!!!
Review Source:My wife and I stopped by on July 4th for some good ol' micro brew beer. It had been on our list for sometime but we never took the time to drop-in. Our mistake. I will confess we probably hadn't because I read where you order the food from next door and I usually eat something when I hunker down with flavorful beer but we should have tried the beer earlier. Our waitress was very pleasant and she was hustling to take care of the guests so we appreciated her rundown of the beers and her smile. I got the sampler because it was my first time in the bar and my wife asked for a beer similar to Bell's Two-Hearted Ale and was given two choices and she liked the Oskar Blue guest beer. I liked the Der Chancellor and the Gnarly Barley. It was dark and smelled liked someone was making beer....I wonder why. I liked the place and plan on grabbing a nicely priced Growler before I leave. By the way I counted 18 growler re-fills in the 90 minutes we were there. Looks like Tequesta is supporting their local brewer.
Review Source:In an area virtually bereft of good craft beer, Tequesta Brewing is an oasis for south Florida hopheads like myself. Â Excellent brews (particularly the brown ale and the rotating "big beer") in a funky, blessedly dark spot which houses both the brewery itself and the bar/tasting area. Â Several flat screens show sporting events, but the place is blessedly free of the brotastic "sports bar" atmosphere, and the music selection rocks (a cool mix of reggae and jam-band tunes when I was there, courtesy of Pandora). Â Food is available from the cafe next door...the wings are decent, and go well with the beer. Â The growler filling machine is definitely a must-see, and they sell growlers in both quart and gallon sizes. The only drawback for me is that the place is 51 miles away; however, now I have another reason to attend Jupiter Hammerheads games on the weekends!
Review Source:Now this is what I'm talking about. An honest to goodness real brewery right here in my back yard. And the beers are awesome too.
This place is loaded with character. With a true local bar feel. From the minute I stepped inside I knew this place was going to be great. It was in between lunch and diner so it was not very crowded but I imagine this place gets pretty lively late night and on the weekends. The bar tender took the time to describe each beer and a little of the breweries history. I had some time so I sampled each of the beers on tap, even a special batch that was made for Cinco de Mayo. I was also educated by the bar tender about Florida laws about breweries not being able to prepare food in there establishments. This is easily remedied by ordering food from the restaurant  next door and they will deliver it to you. I had a great time here, drank some unique and delicious brews and ended up taking home 3 growlers. Guess I will have to come back to have them refilled. Can't wait.
I love to try brew pubs when I am traveling and this sweet, little, dark place has excellent beers. I particularly liked Der Chancellor, a German-style Kolsch. The guy behind the bar was super nice and told my friend and I about the history of the dark wood MASSIVE back bar that was over 100 years old! Very cool place! I also liked that you could order food from the Corner Cafe next door and they would bring it to you!
Review Source:My 40 yr old step-son makes his own beer so this was a "must go to" place on his visit to Florida. He loved the beer and tried several. He was happy with all his choices.
This place has the atmosphere of a lively bar, with mostly younger people, but all ages were present, including me, the 'old' lady. It was a little noisy for my taste, but, hey, it's a bar. If you want just light food, it can be ordered but you'll have to go next door for a complete dinner.
Lots of socializing, laughs and beer drinking.
If this is your thing, you'll love it!
Hope that helps!
South Florida has been in need of a true brewery with a tasting room for a long time and Tequesta Breweing Company finally gave us that in early 2011.
The tasting room is great. Â It's dimly lit with an very nice bar where the back portion is over 100 years old from Mount Vernon, PA. Â Lots of wood always equates to an awesome looking bar in my opinion.
You can then go in the back and see the entire brewery right up close. Â All that nice stainless steel that makes some great beers right there. Â Makes you thirsty. Â Luckily you don't have to go thirsty for long. Â Pull up a seat at that bar and you'll be served by a great crew that is knowledgeable and friendly.
Then the beer, oh the beer. Â Matt, Fran and Kenny brew some awesome beers including one of their staples, Der Chancellor. Â It is the best American version of the German style Kolsch I've ever had. Â Light, easy drinking, but with flavor! Â Then a number of their one offs or specialty brews are down right nirvana. Â The Rushing Imperial Stout, Hop Scotch, Saison, Julio with Watermelon and Passionfruit. Â I could go on but I won't. Â And they are all really well priced in the $4 - $6 range.
They don't serve food but you can order food, on a special menu, from next door at Corner Cafe and they will deliver it over to you.
Tequesta is a great brewery and a great spot. Â In years to come people will talk about how they were one of the pioneers of the craft beer scene in South Florida. Â Mark my words.
This is one cool tap room. I know this brewery is not very old at all, yet the bar has a dark, divey, lived-in feel that lends a great beer vibe to the place. It feels like it's been around forever, as if it was a venerable old Chicago pub. There's no food here, but customers may order from the cafe next door.
Illuminated in blue light at the back of the bar are the stainless steel tanks in which the fresh beer you will enjoy here ferments. If you are new to Tequesta beers, order a sampler/flight tray - the samples look to be about 4-6 ounces or so, plenty enough to get a feel for what's on tap. I liked their Julio's Hefeweizen and especially their Terminally brown ale, a low-ish ABV brown ale jammed with chocolate and coffee flavor.
Beyond the normal offerings, on the day I visited, for their Jupiter Beer Fest afterparty, they also had a special cask of their Terminally ale I mentioned above, treated with black licorice and raisins. This was a real treat, a densely full-flavored cask ale at a relatively low alcohol level.
I didn't even mention the prices. You can drink like a king here at a pretty low price by South Florida standards. When visiting the Jupiter/Tequesta area, hit up TBC and thank me later.
Love this place. Tried most of their beers now and have been a fan of all of them so far. Very cosey and dark bar with some couches in the back to relax in if you can grab em.
The bar itself doesn't have food but it does allow you to order of a limited menu from the restaurant that's next door
They describe themselves as "Microbrewery with great tasting room and growler filler insanity!" It's so much more than just a bar. The tap room is laid back and inviting, full of people who appreciate quality, fresh beer. Everyone who works there is friendly and loves beer.
They don't sell food, but the place next door is happy to deliver food to you. This isn't a brew pub, it's a brewery. You can buy Tequesta beer all over FL.
Note: they are closed on Monday.
