Son of a jimador! Quality tequila is made from 100% agave. To achieve this, I'm clearly aware 'bout the painstakin' 8-12 years of harvesting a ripe agave. But, thinkin' I could apply the same concept to extract quality out of my leftovers from Tequila's...big mistake! Heed my advice and save yourself a trip to the doctor. Unless, you're a woman and your doctor's name is Dr. Mark Sloan. Ok, enough 'bout that!
I understand there are a lot of Mexican restaurants in the area. As a rule of thumb, a good Mexican restaurant just isn't a good Mexican restaurant, without Mexicans. Now, the only true way of knowing if they're indeed Mexicans...is to ask them what my boy Johnny Depp asked once, "Are you a Mexican or a Mexican't?" Hopefully, you'll get a reply stating, "¿Que?" True Mexican, check! Let's move on, shall we?
The next step is identifying authentic Mexican food. If the tacos smell like man's best friend, they're legit. Legit in the 16th century, maybe? Let's be realistic. This isn't China. Mexican food served at Tequila's, holds to its roots, but with some American influences. Nonetheless, this is America after all. The decor is feasible for an authentic Mexican restaurant. The staff, completely helpful. There is more I could go into detail, but let's not spoil surprises.
I, for one, proclaim this the best Mexican restaurant for Wenatchee. East Wenatchee is a no brainer. Alas, sorry I couldn't have been more helpful. Actually, I take that back! I forget, apologizing these days can get you two-pieced.
Friendly service and great Mexican food at decent value. Our server was attentive and let us take our time over our meal. Generous portions -- I ordered the siete mares seafood soup and couldn't finish it because there was so much meat and broth. I'd definitely come back for a Mexican food fix. The menu is extensive and offers the usual standards (tacos, fajitas, enchiladas) alongside less common dishes.
Review Source:I've been here twice in the past month, the food is OK, the service is OK, nothing impressive nonetheless.. I've had much better elsewhere in town, but the location is great!
The salsa is nice and spicy, the cabbage salad was quite fresh. During my dining visits I had the Chicken Mole and the last time I went I had the Carne Asada. Food was piping hot, but the only thing that made me give this restaurant a two star instead of a three would have to be the portions. Now that I think about it, I don't appreciate the dollop of guacamole and sour cream that comes with certain meals, which would barely fit a regular spoon, not even a soup spoon. I normally go home with a To-Go box from any Mexican restaurant, but when I visit this one... I go home.... alone, and no leftovers!
