We went on a Tuesday nite-not to busy. Â The initial greeting was a little slow but the waiter was new so we cut him some slack. Â Ordered a cocktail and waited forever for it to come. Â My Mojito had a medicinal taste-wasn't worth waiting for. Â Dinner was equally slow and just okay. Â My main complaint is a party came in with 3 small children under 3 years old. Â This was a red flag as sometimes the noise level can rise, depending on the parents. Â We were right! Â The noise was unacceptable and the parents didn't feel it was necessary to parent. Â We moved, (not the only ones, by the way), then asked to speak with the manager. Â She was sympathetic but admitted she wasn't sure how to handle this. Â Sorry but letting one table ruin the dining experience of all within earshot isn't acceptable. Â
After dropping $40 for 2 entrees, one coke, one cocktail and tip, I will opt for a much nicer experience somewhere else next time.
This place is dead on Sunday, which was great for us. It was quiet in there, which allowed our waitress to take good care of us. It had been a few years since we came here, because last time the service was so horrible we didn't want to come back. Well Darla was awesome! She is a very sweet woman that is easy to talk to and will give you some great suggestions. She didn't come around the table too much, but she never disappeared either. The food was really really good too! I even took my left overs to my sister you works down the street. She loved them too. My favorite menu item? The fried green beans! Those things are awesome! They might sound yucky, but try them you might be pleasantly surprised.
Review Source:Great Quality for what you pay, and very friendly and attentive staff. Â Atmosphere is 5 stars for sure, as the ambience is perfecto! Â
-The food is extremely delicious, or any meal deals are usually of very good value.
-The Drinks are not over priced, and are well made.
-Happy hour is more like "happy six hours"
Check this place out for sure.
It had been several years since I had visited a TGIFriday's because there were places that provided a better value and all around experience. While the service is still friendly, the atmosphere is comfortable when it's not so loud you can hold a conversation, and the happy hour draft beer prices are ok ($2.50/Pint)...you can also get 1/2 priced appetizers which brings them down to where they should already be priced at about $5/each...The regular menu item prices are just ridiculously high. A friend and I went because we had seen an advertisement for 2 Items for $10..an appetizer & entree...unfortunately the list they give you to choose from isn't anything most people would want. We felt a little deceived.
All in all my visit was ok...but I've experienced better value and in these times value...perceived or otherwise...is what matters
It all began on the way there on a Wednesday night. We decided to have a contest to see which of our phones worked better (iPhone or Android) so we both dialed at the same time for call ahead seating. The person my wife spoke to told her that they did not offer that service. The person I talked to at that same moment told me they did and took down my info. No big deal, just need to educate one person that answers the phone.
We arrived, the place was not very busy so no need and do call ahead anyway. We were seated right away and our server came by to get our drink orders.
When we ordered the food I ordered the Jack Daniels Salmon. The waitress asked me how I wanted that cooked? That is an odd question for salmon. There is only 2 ways I know of to eat salmon. Raw at a sushi joint or cooked all the way. I went with cooked all the way. No big deal. Maybe she was having a rough day. It is a steak joint primarily so she is used to asking the question and made a mistake.
The wife ordered steak and the kids ordered chicken tenders with no side to share.
When the food came out, which did not take too long, the waiter, not our waitress, Â spilled some of the hot Jack Daniels sauce into my wife's lap while trying to put the plate down. He clearly felt horrible and was very apologetic to us. Our waitress came by an brought some club soda to help with the staining which was nice. She also felt bad and offered to have the other dude killed and then fired. Sort of a big deal but they did respond with sympathy so I can look past the accident.
Then we noticed the food brought to my kids was a big bowl of Mac and Cheese surrounded by fries. I told the waitress and she recalled them ordering the chicken strips and said she would get them. By the time they came out, my wife and I had completed our meal and the kids were angry. They did not charge us for the kids food, We took it in a to go box and stopped at chic fil a for them on the way home.
The food tasted great. Grade A
The drinks were good. Grade A
Most of the service was pretty good. Grade B
Clean and quiet - Grade A
The reason for the low rating is all of these misfires all in one night is unacceptable in my opinion and will deter me from going back to that place.
It is what it is...a corporate chain that does it's best to be entertaining and provide a diverse menu. Â The last time I was there the service was pretty good and the bar tender was happy to let me know about some new hot wings they had, that had not made the menu yet. Â I gave them a shot and they were ok...no where near as hot as he claimed or as flavorful. Â I think the appetizers really do trump most of the food options but all in all not a bad place for some good drinks and good food.
Review Source:Had a regular cheeseburger which anyone can make but mine was not good. Dry meat! Paid extra for the Sweet potato fries and they gave me like 15 fries. They were undercooked and and waste of the extra 99 cents I paid for them.
If you want a good burger...DON'T COME HERE!
They either need new management or the recession is really hurting them.
Ambiance: party-atmosphere place with a separate bar area, where you can also dine. Decor is kinda Hard Rock Cafe-lite. Rock and Vegas memorabilia along with pop culture items, such as surfboards and such adorn the walls. Very loud music is played at all times (so be prepared for this), with hip hop blaring on my last visit (didn't seem to fit in with the mostly 40s lunch crowd that was there at the time).
Service: Perky, young and super-friendly crew. However, many could be more attentive. On a recent dinner there, I was seated at a table with no silverware or napkin. I asked the waiter when I ordered for a table setting, and I was answered "sure, no problem", but it never came. When my food arrived, I asked for it again "sure, no, problem". After waiting five minutes as my food grew cold, I finally walked into the kitchen and politely asked for tableware. (Never received an apology, but once again "here you go sir, no problem! ) At other times, prompt service has been an issue (took 25 minutes to receive a chicken breast at lunch, when the restaurant was over half empty).
Food: Nothing more than "ok". They change up their menu often, so they get points for that, but the food is pretty basic, rather bland premade and formerly frozen menu items. They are really big on heavily breaded standard appetizers with routine dipping sauces. (Many of which you can find yourself in the frozen aisle of your supermarket). Their steaks are of low quality, both in flavor and tenderness. Their entree-sized salads at lunch are decent, but you can get better elsewhere. Â Never had a really bad meal here, but trust me, you will completely forget what you ate here hours later.
Overall, this place will do in a pinch when travelling and there is nothing else around. Dining more because you are hungry and just looking for anything to eat, as opposed to savoring your meal and enjoying your dining experience. So many other options in the same price-range are within a few miles of this restaurant, so why wouldn't you want try someplace a little more original that places a higher emphasis on good service and innovative and unique dishes made of fresh and local ingredients? My advice to management is although you have done a good job in hiring and training people with pleasant smiles and good dispositions, you need to work at up-training the staff in the art of delivering truly good and attentive service to your customers. (no problem!)
I'm sorry, but more than five hours of happy hour PER DAY earns you some serious brownie points. Â Last time I checked they were still doing cheap beers (like 2 or 3 bucks) Â and mixed drinks and 1/2 price apps during happy hour - but I think its only at the bar. Â The hours are/were 4-7 and 10-close.
This place also gets points for re-doing their look and putting an end to the suspenders, striped shirts and FLAIR. Â I use to work here and felt like a fool. Â And, their kitchen has sped up as well. Â I ate a Jack Daniels burger the last time I was here and it was so frickin good. Â That JD sauce is so sweet and delicious. Â The margarita was a bit weak, but still tasty and on special. Â They have a lot of options for less portion/less price and app/main course/desert deals for like 13 bucks. Â
All in all, a fun to place to hang out with friends to get a drink or dinner and no FLAIR! Â High fives all around.
