Ok, been to this location twice. Â both times i sat in the bar area....don't do it! Â The service was just OK. Â it took them a long time to serve me..even the soda. Â Don't sit in the bar area if you want timely service. Â The steaks were great (you can't go wrong with a jack daniels steak)
Review Source:Church Family-on a dime: Â I'm playing catch-up on this review so its a little late. We ate at TGIF on 2-22-2013. Â We were out shopping and decided to end the day with dinner here. Â Not such a good idea because the wait was ridiculous; we waited over a hour to be seated. Â They were very busy, crowded and noisy. Â The service was slow and I think that was the cause of the long wait time. Â I had the salmon and to my surprise it was cooked perfect. Â My wife had a chicken sandwich and my son had pasta. Â We didn't have the rest of the church family with us this time. Â The place was fairly clean even though they spilled drinks on the floor and never cleaned it up. Â The bathroom needed to be attended to but I guess they were too busy to worry about that. Â Still have to get use to not having decorations all over to look at since they have remodeled. Â Over all our food was surprisingly good but this was a little too busy for our taste on Friday. Â TGIF is a Friday night party restaurant.
Review Source:You're practically sitting on top of the table(s) around you. Â Not a great place for a date of for the salt conscious. Â The food here is the saltiest I've had at any TGIFridays across the US. Â The bar staff could be better and the local events aren't that great. Â I probably won't be going back.
Review Source:Went in for a late lunch with my mother and children, the place was dead empty and the hostess (who looked angry at being disturbed) told us that we should leave and go someplace else because the lunch waitress had called in sick. When we asked how long it would take to get served if we stayed she said we should just leave because serving wasn't her job and there wasn't anyone else to do it. Does Mmager realize they are telling customers at their door to go away?After reading the other reviews guess I dodged a bullet anyway
Review Source:I have to preface this review with the caveat that the score would be a 5 solely because I knew the bartender from high school that my friend and I got such good service. James was running all night, and was a total sweetheart about everything. The missing two stars are the ambiance and the other patrons, and the time it took to get stuff.
Yes, it's loud, the other bar patrons are obnoxious Charles County people, and having the cops there is not exactly unusual in this area (doesn't that just say so much about the area I live in?), but James made the experience great. M and I sat at the bar for a good 2.5 hours, drinking and munching on appetizers--James made sure we knew about the best deal we could get with their weird happy-hour times. Apparently, there's the normal one, early evening-ish, and a second one from about 10pm to 1 am? Whatever, we enjoyed the hell out of everything.
Major love for the Pink Punk Cosmo, made with cotton candy and entirely too delicious.
Getting the drinks/food did take a bit of time, but that was due in part to A. Packed bar on Saturday night, B. Packed dining room on Saturday night, C. bartenders running ragged all over the place. Having any sort of conversation was damn near impossible without shouting over music, table Loud behind us and the Republic of Drunken College Dudes Who Are Sports Fans watching and screaming at the Olympics just down the bar from us.
Will possibly go back tonight to see if James is working and how things are on a Friday night.
This is absolutely the worst TGIFridays I have ever been to. Â The food is the worst of any restaurant in Charles County. Â The service is not much better.
We have given this TGIFriday's several tries over the years, at different times/days hoping it will be have gotten better and we always question why we gave it yet another try as we are leaving. Â Even their take out is pretty bad
Apparently, if you mention the Waldorf TGIFriday's to other TGIFriday locations in the area, it is known how bad the Waldorf location is.
One and a half stars. Â Plenty of parking in this shopping center. Â An Asian chick and Jewish boy stuck way the hell out here; loud cheering all around when a tray of glasses were dropped. Â Typical semi-dark wood accents of Yet Another Chain American Restaurant. Â Drinks took half an hour to come and they forgot our appetizer completely. Â This meant an excruciating 30 minutes of listening to James M ramble without medication. Â Surprisingly clean bathroom, but couldn't stall in there for long. Â Fruity drink was thankfully strong, so much so that I couldn't risk a second one to drive home. Â My medium rare Jack Daniels burger came out close to well-done; at least the fries weren't too starchy. Â Won't be back with this degree of inconsistency for them to overcome.
Review Source:If the rating was minus three then I would definitely put a triple!! check in the box. We came in to a 35 minute wait with at least 5 two tables available, and 6 four tops in the bar alone!!
The hostess stated no we could not go seat ourselves at the bar or any other table in bar. That minute two people walk in and set themselves at the bar. I tell her you just stated we could not seat ourselves?
She said you can sit at the bar if you just want to sit. Are you kidding me!! I said I am not here to just sit and had to shut my mouth. Guess where we were seated?? In the bar!! Lol
We waited 30 minutes to be seated and 10 until waitress came. This place has the worst service and the food is sub par.
My bruscheta pasta came with a gallon of oil and I had to return it. The manager even stated it was nasty. I decided to share my husband's ribs and french fries. Until i found melted plastic around a french fry!!
I understand it's not fine dining, but I get better service from my 8 year old. A bomb of a place. We will never come back and will tell everyone we know!!! P.s. The poor hostess is either on drugs or has an I.Q. Of 2.2
The food is your very basic fast food sit down and fill them up. Â However I was in just resent and wanted to sit at the bar for some wings and a beer. Â Well I forgot that this TGIF has the police standing by in the restaurant in case something happens is what the management told me. Â Well the bar area is very loud and the bartenders have no control over the patrons who try to out yell each other with swearing which is not for the family atmosphere, because the dinning area is open to the bar. Â I asked if one of the TV's could be put on the speed channel since all of them were on the same basketball game, and the result was not in my favor. Â I realized now that I must like basketball, swear loudly, require the police to be ready in case something happens, to enjoy this particular TGIFridays.
