Thanh Linh Vietnamese Restaurant

Amazing food. Amazing owner. For a third the cost of highbrow places, Thanh Linh consistently produces amazing comfort food that you can enjoy, reheated, at least for another meal as the portions are gargantuan. Fresh spices and herbs add heat, texture, and complexity to basic Asian recipes. Oh, did I mention that most dishes provide choices that will please locovores, vegans, vegetarians, pescetarians, flexitarians--any "tarian" out there. Enjoy!!!!!

In 2007 this restaurant had the best spring rolls I've ever eaten.

Many of the reviews are spot on.  Overall, for a midsize, midwestern city, Thanh Linh's is great.  Even in a big city I'd be satisfied.  Specifically, the food is solid (except of the Pad Thai which is unlike any I've ever had), the restaurant is clean, and the service is friendly.  The service can be slow on the weekend if you call for take out (nobody may answer the phone - this has happened to me at least three times) but they make up for it with quality food at a good price.  Overall Thanh Linh's is worth trying because the food is quality, the price is reasonable, and compared to other Peoria restaurants Thanh Linh's is better than most imo.
