Three County Fairgrounds

We went to the New England Horse show last weekend. They had rebuilt a lot of buildings after the storms and the Grounds looked great. It looked better then any year past. Went to the Summerbrew fest by 99.3/102.1 here. Awful event! Sorry but this was poor planning. The line for "Will Call" was over a 30 minute wait while the at the door window moved much faster until they ran out of tickets. How do you not know that you pre-sold most of your tickets and move the lines better??? messed up...
Once you get in they had 5 tickets for you to use to get samples so you would then buy more for a dollar..ok thats fine, but when the line for each place is 10-12 minute wait and you there is NO SIGN for each one expect the one at the table (blocked by the lines) and the vendors dont even fill the 4oz cup, im sorry but its not worth my time or money. not at all excited about going back for this event.

Three County Fairgrounds is the WORST place for a large concert. I went here for the Warped Tour in '05 and it was a nightmare. The venue itself isn't horrible but it's a little small. All the stages were set up inside of a horse racing track except for one that I didn't know existed until it was too late. It had rained the day before and the crew did nothing to remedy that like throw down hay or pieces of plywood over especially bad spots. I didn't mind the mud but you would think they would do something. The worst was at the end of the day when the concert was over. Northampton police were not allowing traffic to go down the back roads behind the fairground or to take a left our of the fairgrounds to go into downtown Northampton. Thousands of people were being herded out one direction all at the same time. It took me at least two hours just to get out of the lot onto the road off the fairgrounds and I've heard of worse from others that went.
Too small, unorganized, and anarchy at the end of the day give the Three County Fairgrounds (as a concert venue) a 0.5 / 5
