Went here last night. Had some of the best wings I have ever had in my life. They had great flavor, they were large and they were cooked to perfection. The place was packed which is usually a sign of a great restaurant but not always. I had fries with the wings. They are the large steak fries and I loved them. However, another person in our party did not like them. The only thing I had that was bad was the sweet tea (or iced tea for you yankees). It was the worst tea I have ever had. I mentioned it to the waitress and she said "yes, our tea is terrible. We do not brew it here and it is the worst I have ever had too. However, we are about to start brewing our own tea here". I replied "now that is an awesome managerial decision!". She was a great sport about it and she gave us great service. Overall it was a great experience. I have had other things off the menu but not in recent years so I will update my review after another trip or two if warranted.
Review Source:I agree with some of the things written by other reviewers, but the wings here are excellent so 4 stars. Â We've been a fan of their wings for decades, whether the ones in the Atlanta locations when we lived on the north side, or these here in McDonough. Â The french fries are always good too.
They recently switched from brewed tea to tea in a box or something...hoping that is short lived! Â This is the south, right?
I agree with Phin S. that there aren't a ton of choices in this area but drive a few miles in several directions & you can find a better place to catch some sports and partake in a brew or five. Â Taco Mac has always been good for it's selection of beers but not so much for it's food and atmosphere. There are a few locations where they've taken the time to build out a nice place this must have been one of the very first locations but the age of the place. Â Again beer list is impressive & I guess it could be a decent place to hang out after work with some friends but I wouldn't go out of my way to frequent this place because of the food and atmosphere.
Review Source:I'd probably give this place two stars if there were better alternatives in the area. Â Taco Mac it is not, but I have yet to see a much better place for sports in McDonough. Â They have a large beer selection, which is nice. Â I find the food to be on the expensive side and the televisions to be placed sort of strangely. Â Service is unimpressive, but the patio is pretty nice!
Like I said at the start-- no way I would go here if I lived further north, but for this area, it works. Â I'm glad it's here.
