It was a very nice experience at this restaurant . The waitress was very nice and friendly. We had French Onion soup to start with then I had Blacken Trout , my husband had Prime Rib. The soup was SUPER TASTY !!!!!! wow was that yummy or what !
My Trout was excellent  , but the Prime rib was bland. We also brought our own bottle of red wine in as well and they did not charge us for a cork fees , that  was pretty nice of them.

We will definitely go back when we return to Townsend next time.

Great food.....only drawback is the restricted hours of this place.....opens at 4pm and only open a few days a week....maybe they will change them soon.
The best yeast rolls on earth will accompany your entree. Great steaks. They are now back under the original owners/managers and on our recent visit, the waitress was brand new and a little clueless, but sweet. We enjoyed our steaks very much, and some awesome bread pudding with ice cream for dessert.  Wonderful JFG coffee.
I highly recommend you try this place.

Solid three star breakfast spot.  Food is plentiful and at reasonable prices.  Their menu is right as they have very good omelets.  I also enjoyed the pecan pancakes and the blueberry pancakes.  Very fast and friendly service (my coffee was never half empty).  I've had better breakfasts, but it's solid, and since they serve breakfast till 1 this is a great place to start your day, no matter how late you start it.

Moderate price that is too much for the mediocre food.

Very good Southern homecooked food...okra, mac & cheese, green beans, prime rib sandwich huge, tasty burger, trout, etc, etc. Live acoustic guitar music Sunday night. Can't go wrong with the menu....informal, casual...the only negative was the A/C was not as cool as possible, so the room was warm.

Good country cooking.  After some rainy days in the mountains, Timbers provided some comfort and enough food for a couple of days of hibernation.  When my boyfriend and I walked in, there were a few tables with customers and the staff seemed overwhelmed.  Well, I guess things move slower than in NY.  Despite the somewhat overwhelmed waiter, the whole staff pitched in and service was really friendly.  The trout was absolutely huge and really nicely seasoned.  The fried chicken was a whole half chicken.  And the sweet potatoes were deliciously sweet, soft, and moist.  All that with hot bread, a small salad, and drinks for about 30 bucks.  Can't get better than that.
