Tonic is a GREAT happy hour spot. I've been there a few times now for a pre-gaming kickball hangout. The drink specials are awesome and the happy hour lasts until 8:00pm.
The service here is also remarkable. Each time I have sat outside and always had a full drink in my hand. I've tried the pretzel with Guiness cheese dip (sooo good) and both the Old Fashion and Muhammad Ali pizzas are highly suggested. They have a stage inside and it appears there are bands that play there quite often. Either way it is a fun hangout and marvelously easy on the pocket book.
This place is awful, wish I could rate with zero stars! Â From the snobby Scottsdale attitudes from everyone there, bartenders, servers, etc... to the below par and then some service and food. Â I wouldn't even categorize what they serve as food. Â Drinks were severely watered down (so order beer if you do go). Â Perhaps the bartenders were putting our liquor in all the free drinks they were passing off at the bar to certain patrons? Â We went to check out the local music talent playing this weekend with a group of 6 and thought this looked like a great place from the photos, etc... but were extremely disappointed about everything around us, this place is a bust. Â None of us will ever come back and all 6 of us give this place a BIG thumbs down. Â Too many music venues in town that have an appreciative staff that actually take care of the paying patrons, good food and respectful attitudes and service. Â In summary...slow service with NO smile, watered down drinks, poor attitude from servers and bartenders, crappy bar food with "it sat on the shelf too long taste" nothing is fresh, patrons who look like they haven't showered for several days and sticky bar tops and tables - YUCK!!!
