Tonicx is the place to go on the north side for great cocktails! We live pretty close to here and love their drinks. Their prices are comparable to other cocktail establishments in Spokane.
I will typically enjoy a strasberri or vodka press. We also love the food here. You can't go wrong with the nachos or pita platter.
This place is great in the summertime with their spacious patio.
This place was local to us, we tried it and were pleasantly surprised.
Bartenders try to make you feel at home and offer great service in a refreshing laid back manner. They seem well able to make drinks too, the wife always enjoys the cocktails, I can't speak to this beyond that the Guinness has always been fresh and poured the correct way - which I have learned since my recent departure from Ireland, is nowhere near as common as should be the case. There was one incident of "shamrock latte art" a variation which I'll allow on grounds of skill.
I have been here less than a handful of times and have found that their prices are high and they are always crowded. Â Sometimes I see crowded as a good thing... it means the taste is fantastic, the atmosphere is fun... Well, I have to say that the drinks are good but there is nothing exceptional about them other than their price. Â Don't get me wrong though, the bartenders do make good drinks. Â The crowded atmosphere isn't exactly fun. Â I'm an extrovert and I love groups of people, but honestly, I just feel too crowded. Â You have to be sitting very close to the person with whom you are talking to hear each other. Â Pretty much I would go here if I lived nearby down the street for the convenience of walking and not driving. Â But otherwise, I have no plans to return. Â One pro is that you can order Pita Pit which is connected to the bar, so if you get the munchies, it's cheap & accessible.
Review Source:Tonicx is a great little neighborhood bar that I enjoy visiting when I'm in Spokane. Â Granted my sister lives 6 blocks away, so that has something to do with 3 visits in 4 days this past weekend.
My two favorite drinks are the Snozberry and the Key Lime Pie Martini. Â Both are $8.00+, but so damn good. Â Don't be shocked if you see me licking the whip cream out of the glass.
Bonus points for being able to order Pita Pit from next door. Â The Queso Pita is really the only thing I order though. Â
Keep up the good work, Ryan and Jon!
I have been here three times now and I love this place! It's too bad they don't have a website because I would've gone here a long time ago if they did. It turns out that they have a really good drink menu and also a small food menu. (The food comes from the Pita Pit which is right next door). I like being able to sit out on the patio and drink good drinks....that was pretty much enough to win me over, along with the fact that this place is super close to my house.
