Tim and I have been beving here since we bought a house near Old Fort. Â It's all a local watering hole should be - friendly, ambient, comfortable, welcoming - you get it. No food - only beer and wine but the juke box is free and the selection is eclectic and good and Melanie is the most interesting bartender ever - just go and see! Â She will wow you and make you laugh. Â Tell her Lynne and Tim said hi!
Review Source:This is one of the best damn dive bars, gin palaces, or juke joints in which I've had the pleasure to get schnockered during my louche and misspent life.
Animal trophies? Check. Dozens of dollar bills stuck to the ceiling? Â You know it. Â Obscure but intriguing regional beer that tastes of licorice? Even so. Â Plus, this past Monday evening, a perfectly delightful, danceable, in-the-pocket tight bluegrass band. Â (Update: Â it was Kort McCumber & McCumberland Gap. Â See them live if you can!)
Now, don't all of you go at once - it is smoky, Angelenos...
