Pisgah Brewing Company

Stopped by here with the owner of The Brews Cruise (the original owner) to check this place out and learn my way around a bit.  I enjoyed the setting, brewery tour was cool, but they all kind of blur together after you've seen a few of them.  I remember they had a lot of outdoor space and seemed like they had some really good music acts coming through too.  This would have been around 2009 the last time I was there.  I enjoyed the beer and just hanging out, got there early on a weekday, not much happening then.

We stopped in the afternoon prior to the taproom being open. One of the brewers have me a taste and sold me a growler. The beer was great and this guy certainly went above and beyond . If you are in this area please visit them

What a fantastic brewery with a great selection of organic brews! This is coming from a major beer snob....

The brewery is conveniently located in an industrial area right off hwy 40 and a few minutes from downtown Black Mountain (try The Trail-head for dinner/lunch). I have the West Coast IPA, Pisgah Pale Ale, Pisgah Triple Ale (fantastic belgian ale), and the Vortex II Barley Wine. My favorite being the IPA and Triple.

This place was sorta hard to find considering the sign is tiny and the building looks like an old warehouse. Look for the large mural on the side of the building to know you've arrived.
