Absolutely the best bbq in the Lynchburg area! Â It's in an old house looking sort of thing. Don't be fooled by the look. You may pass it by even if you are looking for it, it is definitely worth the u-turn! Â You can smell the smoke once you pull in. Â I love this place the guys are always friendly.
Review Source:My husband and I saw the Toy Town Soul Food sign coming back from Madison Heights and decided to check it out, based on the review from Yelp. Â We were greeted with a sample of the sliced pork, smoked over a wood fire. Yum, yum!!! Â We ordered a minced pork dinner plate and a cheeseburger platter. Â Collards were not on the menu, but were offered as one of the sides. Â Next time, we're going to try the pies and ribs! Â Recommend stopping by for take out. Â They sell pork and brisket by the pound as well.

No Seriously, that's what it says on the sign out front and man i am here to tell you that they mean it. This placed just opened up a few months ago. Authentic as all get out.
My husband has ordered ribs in about every state in the south. He claims that tonight he has tasted the best rack ever. Honestly, I watched this man get food orgasmic over these things.
I had the minced pork...in a word- TENDER
This place rocks and I am so glad to find another gem along the 29 south corridor. It's a few miles past the Nelson County line on the northbound side.
Oh and super cheap- 4 adults ate for $40.
Menu is traditional soul food fare:
fried chicken, smoked bbq ribs, catfish sandwiches, minced and sliced pork bbq plus they have burgers
sides are typical- coleslaw, collards, green beans, AWESOME baked beans etc
So psyched to finally check this place out!
