Smoky, loud, poorly made drinks, bad service, very expensive...need I say more? My girlfriend and I came here to meet friends for a few drinks on a Friday evening, and we both left disappointed.
When we got there, they had a jazz band playing, but the place was so loud I couldn't even hear them. Also, the doors to the patio were open and the joint was filled with cigar smoke. When we left, my girlfriend and I both smelled like an ash tray.
Now for the drink situation. I ordered a dirty martini - the waitress brought me a regular martini on the rocks, and left before I could ask her to take it back. When she did come around again, I told her there must have been a mix-up, because this wasn't what I ordered. She took the drink back, and next time around she brought me back a regular martini that tasted like straight vodka - terrible! You would think that a bartender working at a place that advertises martinis would know how to make them...not here though!
It's too bad Tres Belle was so disappointing for us. Maybe it was an off night? There really is a lot of potential in the place if they could just find a balance between the noise levels and the music playing. Also, it would've have been nice if they just served traditional martinis. Some things just don't need to be changed - like a great drink!
