I feel compelled to post an update. I workout at a popular local gym which offers monthly pizza nights and the gym switched pizza providers several months ago, from Giovanni's to Trio's, probably due to costs. At first, I was excited Trio's was the new pizza provider since I've been here and ordered some good brick oven pizzas, fresh out of the brick oven at the Derry shop.

However, the delivered "mass produced" Trio's pizzas I've had at the gym have been beyond atrocious and not enjoyable. Most of the pizzas are overbaked, some burnt, and the crust is extremely dry, chewy and very tough. Even sheet rock is softer than the crust. I need to rip and pull the crust apart with effort so I can eat it. I'm sure the pizza was good fresh out of the oven in Derry, but dries out quickly. By the time the pizzas are delivered to the site 7 miles away, the crust is very chewy, though not completely dry at first, but after an hour of sitting out, the pizza is tough to eat. This was not the case with the pizzas from the previous provider, the crust was still soft and slightly chewy.

I've seen gym members around me turn up their nose and seem not happy with the pizza. I've seen more members open the pizza boxes, look at the pizzas and close the box, foregoing any pizza. I find myself saying the pizza at Giovanni's is way better and I'm not even a fan of their style Greek pizza crust. Giovanni's is able to deliver over 100 good quality pizzas in the same order.

I believe the focus here on big pizza orders is more about quantity than quality. The pizza will get tough in short time if not consumed immediately fresh out of the oven.

This rating is for their pizza only.  I'm a sucker for a brick-oven pizza (better yet, a wood-fired oven), and wanted to try Trio's in town.  In short, although they were very nice (and I think an young couple trying to start a business), and they overcharged me, i thought, but didn't say anything, but they came back out and said they realized they overcharged and actually gave back more change than I though I had been charged (though I didn't keep the receipt).  Regardless, this just points to the service.

On to the food.  I just wanted a small pizza, and of their suggested combination styles, I found the list kind of weird, so I just "built my own" with, I think, tomato, garlic, and onion.

It took a whlie (it was 3 in the afternoon, not prime time); I suspect they have the oven fired down (suspect it's gas) and it took a while to get up to temp.  However, I don't expect it was properly up to temp.  I would have expected some serious melting/crisping in a properly sized oven (this was med-small) with a properly placed pie.  I really got the impression it wasn't fully fired; the tops were undercooked.  Which didn't help because it was the most uninteresting sauce I've tasted outside of a grocery store.  Overly sugared, not spliced or flavored, simply underwhelming.  Boring, really.

Due to the pizza probablyl needing to be cooked higher, and some attention needing to be made to the sauce and toppings, I'd just rate this a two for now.  I hope they can make changes and go higher.

Ordered a large cheese,a buffalo tender order and fried pickles.  Fried pickles were not ediable.  Breading fell off, and pickles were uncooked cold and overly vinagar tasting.  Pizza was gross.  Tried to eat it but very soggy crust could not hold pizza up.  Driver let cheese and tons of oil drop to one side.  So much cheese we had to pull it off to eat the soggy and almost no sauce pizza.  Buffalo wings were ok.  Not spicy at all some my gf liked them but breading and auce just falls off when you touch them.  I love brick oven pizza so I was excited.  This pizza is the opposite of brick oven pizza.   Over cheesed, tons of grease, and very soggy, flour tasting doughy crust.  If you like brickoven pizza like reggina or real neopolitan type pie, this is not for you at all.  This is more of a quanity with no qualty type of pizza.  When we tried to get slices out off the box we had to cut and slice for a while.  When we tried to pull up a slice only the crust would come up.  Very heavy greesy pizza
