A nice step away from the chains located up and down Clemson Blvd. Service is usually A+ and the food is consistent. Club sandwich and She Crab soup with a touch of sherry are my favorites, Only suggestion is if you want a quieter seat avoid the center section that is a step down. That area typically is rather loud and crowded.
Review Source:When we visited on Mother's Day, Tucker's was serving an upscale buffet with good quality. Â That's what it has been on both our visits. Â The selection is incredible for salads, breads, veggies, main dishes, breakfast items, and desserts. Â And I'm probably forgetting a category. Â The food is seasoned and cooked very well. Â The waitresses, while run ragged, still manage to be attentive in bringing and refilling drinks and removing plates as you finish, and seeing that you get your check and change. Â All in all, you couldn't ask for more. Â It has something for everyone, and lots of it (and your beltline will tell you so when you waddle out to your now underpowered mode of transport). Â Still, it's a buffet, and loads of slobbering masses of people may not be your thing. Â If they still serve from a menu, I'll go back again. Â Otherwise, it's good for special occasions only. Â It's a crowd pleaser, but not a "me" pleaser.
Review Source:Mother's Day. Â Anderson, SC. Â Every and I mean every restaurant was packed. Â Except this one.
Couldn't figure out why this place was empty. Â Walk in, get seated and the nice server explains that whatever city or county this was in had some backwards, Utah-esque liquor laws that prohibit alcohol sales. Â The Applebees next door, the steakhouse just up the hill, yeah, they could serve it, but Tucker's was dry for the day.
How were we supposed to toast Mom for being a great mother to some alchies? ;-)
The service was fine, the food...ehh...menu on par with a Ruby Tuesday or Chili's..nothing to Yelp or write home about. Â Hated their french fries, just awful.
For a restaurant with no wait on a holiday at prime time dinner hour, it was sufficient.
