A nice step away from the chains located up and down Clemson Blvd. Service is usually A+ and the food is consistent. Club sandwich and She Crab soup with a touch of sherry are my favorites, Only suggestion is if you want a quieter seat avoid the center section that is a step down. That area typically is rather loud and crowded.

When we visited on Mother's Day, Tucker's was serving an upscale buffet with good quality.  That's what it has been on both our visits.  The selection is incredible for salads, breads, veggies, main dishes, breakfast items, and desserts.  And I'm probably forgetting a category.  The food is seasoned and cooked very well.  The waitresses, while run ragged, still manage to be attentive in bringing and refilling drinks and removing plates as you finish, and seeing that you get your check and change.  All in all, you couldn't ask for more.  It has something for everyone, and lots of it (and your beltline will tell you so when you waddle out to your now underpowered mode of transport).  Still, it's a buffet, and loads of slobbering masses of people may not be your thing.  If they still serve from a menu, I'll go back again.  Otherwise, it's good for special occasions only.  It's a crowd pleaser, but not a "me" pleaser.

Mother's Day.  Anderson, SC.  Every and I mean every restaurant was packed.  Except this one.

Couldn't figure out why this place was empty.  Walk in, get seated and the nice server explains that whatever city or county this was in had some backwards, Utah-esque liquor laws that prohibit alcohol sales.  The Applebees next door, the steakhouse just up the hill, yeah, they could serve it, but Tucker's was dry for the day.

How were we supposed to toast Mom for being a great mother to some alchies? ;-)

The service was fine, the food...ehh...menu on par with a Ruby Tuesday or Chili's..nothing to Yelp or write home about.  Hated their french fries, just awful.

For a restaurant with no wait on a holiday at prime time dinner hour, it was sufficient.

We went there for dinner with a group and had quick and efficient service.

I am not a fan of their baked potato soup. It's light brown in color and has the consistency of having come from a blender. Other than that the food was good.

There was not one thing on the brunch buffet that I didn't like. I ate from the Sunday brunch and savored every bite of the top notch, all-you-can-eat breakfast and lunch items. The food is a good price, especially since you get far more than what you pay for. The buffet featured an overwhelming variety of unique, but not showy, foods (nothing like "its an American/Italian/Mexican/Chinese Restaurant", but still offers desireble, distinct dishes, such as German roast beef.)

The restaurant also has nice long business hours, great service, good ambience, and pepper grinders. I definitely recommend this restaurants as one of the best Anderson has to offer.

Came for dinner with my family.  Service was friendly and attentive.  Everyone else got the stuffed tilapia special and I had the rainbow trout.  You get two sides or a side and salad with the dinners.  Salads were good sized and fresh.  I had the stuff baked potato which was delicious.  My rainbow trout tasted great, but did have a couple bones and a few fins on it.  Management said it was hard to get all the bones out of the smaller fish.  That was my only complaint, otherwise very delicious.  Kind of on the expensive side, $75 for the meals and one diet coke.

First let me premise this with the fact that I used to work for this restaurant. It has been a little over a year since I left and I don't think that much has changed. I do think that this is a fine restaurant to frequent, but not anything like a real "five-star" restaurant.  Good meat, good veggies, good rolls... all good but not exceptional in any way. Their is NO chef.  The menu is unvarying and a bit boring, and the wine list is far from extensive (having Dom does not make the wine list extensive).  The service is some of the best in Anderson! It's not expensive and would be fine for a casual date.  The Sunday brunch is also boring usually the same few main dishes cycle through every other week. I may be impartial to the place but this is my honest opinion.

Went here today for Sunday brunch with my mom. (In case you're wondering, my mom is Carolann K. who also reviewed separately, but this is a different visit than the one she reviewed.) We weren't planning on brunch, but before 2 on Sunday, that's your only option.

First let me say that I am not a buffet person, and I am VERY picky about brunches. But we were there and mom was already a fan and I was having a blood sugar situation that meshed very well with the instant gratification brunch had to offer so we stayed and ordered drinks (water for me, coffee for her).

Then to to brunch. Our waiter actually showed us where it was and gave us an abbreviated tour. There were some breakfast items and carving stations and sliced turkey and various fixings and salads and desserts.

    First the negatives:
-Nothing was labeled. This made salads and desserts especially difficult to navigate. I am not a person with allergies and I'm fairly adventurous, but, still I like to know what I'm eating.
-No omelet bar. BRUNCH with no omelets? Shame for the scrambled eggs over Sterno!
-Some items looked a little, well, meh.. like the turkey and the gravy and the stuffing... the turkey was presliced and not at a carving station. In all fairness to these items, I did not try any of them!

    And the good:
    -Caesar salad was fantastic.
    -Roast beast.... yum!
-What's better than crisp and flaky buttermilk biscuits? Try them with honey butter!

So why four stars when, clearly, what I had just described was a three star experience at best? The service.

Partly though my meal I asked my waiter if they had fresh squeezed orange juice. "No," he says, "but we can make some." "From real oranges?" Dummy that I am asks? and he offers to show them to me first... which I laugh off and say that that is completely unnecessary. A few minutes later, he comes back with another waiter holding four oranges and asking me to choose two for my juice. I laugh and choose my oranges. A few minutes after that... FRESH JUICE.

The staff here is charming and funny and delightful. And the food really is pretty good. Oh, I almost forgot... try the mashed potatoes with cheese and chives right in it.

P.S.  Our check was under $30 for two.  That's $11.90 each for brunch and two drinks.   Score!

In my quest to find good restaurants in the upstate my friend and I were trying to decide which one to try for lunch  I suggested Tucker's. She was a little hesitant, but, we went in and was greated by a lovely person with a smile and a warm welcome. The servers were great and the food was wonderful. I had the grilled chicken caesar salad and was surprised to see it came with a red sauce and a slice of pineapple on it.  We did not need to ask for dressing on the side ( all are made fresh on premise) that is how it was served. The food was wonderful, the service excellent even the chef came out to help and see how everyone enjoyed the food.

The have an extensive wine list, a full service bar and also have a banquet room......

There is no posted dress code so I am sure you can wear either casual or get dressed up depending on you.

This is a must try. I am not sure how expensive it is in the evening, but, it is well worth a try
