Walked across the street to here from Brickhouse, and managed to catch karaoke night. Â The bar is fairly big. Â It wasn't a packed house, but there were a few people having a good time, and singin'. Â This bar balances between tavern & dive (both nice in my book). Â Definitely a locals hang-out and one of the few options in West Richland proper.
My friend and I grabbed a drink here and soaked in the culture. Â Overall a so-so experience here; worth stopping by if you're on Van Giesen.
Sometimes ya wanna go where everyone knows your name. Â Yeah, it's a dive bar, but it's solidly in the quality crap category. Â I like bars where you get to sit outside, even if it gets pretty chilly after the sun goes down and you've had quite a bit to drink. Â New rules: Â we all bring sweaters instead of hoping that Jeremy has more than one in his car.
They have bar food, but we only got fries and chips. Â The fries were pretty good (although watching Tony do fry sauce shots was at least a little horrifying), but they ran out :( Â The chips were outstanding. Â They make their own chips! Â They're served with fry sauce and (apparently) ranch, although Tony couldn't determine that after 3 sips from the cup. Â Great location across from the West Richland police station. Â We couldn't tell if they were putting on some kind of crazy silent movie for us or if they were trying to lull us into getting busted. Â Highly entertaining (and good that I wasn't driving).
I hate ketchup (worst. condiment. ever.), but I liked their fry sauce. Â I'm probably better off not knowing what it is. Â And two PhDs do not ruin a drinking session (especially when there are 5 pitchers for 5 people)! Â It's a minimum of 3 PhDs to ruin a social situation, thank you very much.
