Ugo's Pizzeria

Simple, they were closed UNANNOUNCED the day I visited this small city.  I called from my hotel room 3 times and no answer, it just rang and ran and rang.  Not even an answering machine?? I then drove to the location thinking that maybe, just maybe, their phone line was out.  Nope, they were indeed closed.  There was no posting on the outside about being closed either, as a matter of fact the sign that listed store times was also turned off.  Bad, bad business model my friends.  I don't mind Mom and Pop shops, in fact small business is my favorite, but seriously - put up a sign and buy a $20 answering machine.

I went in there a few days ago thinking it was going to be the normal run of the mill pizza joint. I was wrong. They have a great pizza which is made with a thin crispy crust, a nice light red sauce, really good toppings. Their Greek pizza with their blend of olives, feta and fresh tomatoes outstanding. They have 2 beers on tap with is pretty exciting because most of the places around here in Harrison do not serve beer and wine. I can't wait to go back.
