Taco Tuesday! Mexican beers + margaritas around $3 and 50 cent tacos! You can't beat it. I suggest going before 6pm because its RIDICULOUSLY packed after that. The service is mediocre but its depending on the server. There are a lot of TV's and game day specials depending on the day. Overall it's a great place to go if you are on a budget/want good tacos!

I have been here several times and have never really been satisfied. Beer is flat. There is always an issue with the food. They only serve 12 steaks on Monday total so we didn't get those either.  All the meat in the sandwiches smelled and tasted aweful.  Service is slow due to a lack of staff. This place is disappointing. I won't be back for a long time.

Sooooo...this place is listed as "an Irish pub with flair" on their facebook page... but there isn't any Irish food to be found on their menu.  The closest thing is fish & chips or the Guinness onion soup. I was really looking for some shepherd's pie or sausages, or corned beef and cabbage.  How hard is that to keep on the menu?

    Their web site isn't working either, it's a parking space by <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fgodaddy.com&s=394644fcfe993921d46282e8bb6393207665d9ca1244f20301bf6efc0d931873" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://godaddy.com</a>.  UGH...

So I ordered the Guinness onion soup, which was a large portion of really rich caramelized onions, bread and lots of cheese.  It was very hot (just the way I like it) and very tasty.

There was a special on the menu called Trout spaghetti... I couldn't talk myself into trying it.  The place was pretty big inside and there is a patio with a nice view over the newer part of Las Cruces.  The server was great; helpful, attentive, friendly.

Not really an Irish Pub, and not really any good food, or fresh food. Go for a beer, I wouldn't eat here. Tried it twice and both times the food was frozen warmed up, or just plain cheap put together slop. Don't waste your time or money. Sorry.

Tried this place AGAIN.  This time the pub only serves beer and wine, no mixed drinks here.  The food is the same as before, so no change there.

Why is it the fate of so many "irish" pubs to change owners and become lame ass sports bars. It's still a nice space with a good view but it's soulless, has no liquor license for spirits, only beer and wine. Oh and last call is 10:00pm on weeknights. Compounded with all the bad feedback about the food I expect this place to fail within a year and with a name like "ump" it totally deserves it.

Oysters on the 1/2 shell rate a 5 out of 5!!!
Mussels were nice and garlicky but tasted over steamed. We sat at the bar and our waitress(who was also the bartender) was very friendly and attentive. There was another waitress(heavy set) that acted like it took all her strength to say hi. Not loving her job, this one. We would definitely go there for oysters and maybe a martini when they get their liquor license. The iced tea also tasted like it was made with tap water. We couldn't even finish it. If you want a crowd, go Monday thru' Friday. Saturday is really dead.

We found this place in the AAA Tour Book, but it was under a different name, Brigid's Cross Irish Pub. It is out of the way, but in a nicer neighborhood than the motel we stayed at off I-40 while traveling through NM.

The menu is limited, but I was told it was expanded from the prior owner. The placed is owned by two guys, one of which is a major league umpire, Doug Eddings, No. 88, hence the name.

My wife picked the fish and chips for $13. The fish was crispy, fresh, and very tasty. The fries were very good and hot, with a nice potato taste. She also had a mixed salad for $7,  with the house dressing which she said was good. The greens were fresh and crisp.

I ordered the Chef Burger for $12, served with lettuce, tomato and sweet onion in sesame seeded bun. You could add any of the following sides to your burger at no charge: Cheddar, Monterrey Jack, Mozzarella, Provolone, Swiss or Bleu cheese, Green Chilies, Guacamole, and Mushrooms. The burger meat was very tasty, but too juicy, and drenched the bun. The burger fell apart in my hands, and I had to finish it on the plate with a knife and fork.

That being said, the service was poor and the time it took to get our meal seemed excessive where we got there around 5PM on a Monday night, before the expected football crowd. Our total bill was $32, plus tip, which we felt we had to leave regardless of the service or the time it took to get our food. Maybe it was because we didn't order a drink.

If you decide to visit this place, order a round of drinks or two, and you won't mind if the meal is slow in coming or the service sub par.
