This review pertains to the liquor store only ... not the lounge.
I think that this place is a victim of expectation. The size of the building had me excited but once inside I was underwhelmed. It wasn't a bad selection, per se, but it wasn't great either. There was a noticable lack of higher end bourbons, scotches, brandys, etc ... it was more like your typical liquor store with a slightly larger floor stock. They had a few local beers but on the whole the beer selection wasn't great.
The guys working there were loud and highly opinionated regarding the current plight of the middle class but were very friendly during check out.
In the end, it wasn't what I was hoping for but was a decent store none the less.
The owner is nice and the place has a great atmosphere, but you have to be a smoker to enjoy this one. Non smokers wouldn't last 5 minutes in this place even if there wasn't anyone smoking at the time.
I love the decor and the live music that they bring in, but I can't go anymore because I can't deal with the smoke smell. It's worse then league night in a bowling alley.
