"Before you even get started here, we DO NOT allow outside food in this lounge!"
That's how my boyfriend and I were greeted upon entering the U.S. Airways lounge. No, "Hi, how are you today?" No, "We're so glad you stopped in! However..." Nope. Just straight up get-the-hell-out. So, after eating our sandwiches at record pace on the chairs outside the lounge, we went back in for round 2.
I can see why they don't want outside food in here. I mean, that bowl of Chex Mix...totally wouldn't want to compete with that. Or the free water and coffee.
Basically, this is a sad little lounge. It has outlets, which is great when you need them, and a tv blaring CNN. The bathrooms are slightly better than the main terminal, and they have workstations for business people needing to do prints or make some quick copies. It also apparently has a rodent problem, since there are mouse traps everywhere.
I'll probably be back at some point, but this has not been the highlight of my airline lounge experience, for sure.
This is the only lounge available in Bradley. Â It's not really a lounge, per say, as it's about 1/5 the size if not smaller of some of the other lounges that you'd find in larger airports, but it's good.
The amenities for a traveler are sufficient, the food and snacks are less than what you'd get in a typical Delta lounge elsewhere and in addition there's a 3 drink limit, with free choices being either house wine or some crappy domestic bottles. Â So if you're planning on spending a few hours here, you either place your drinks or stop in for a drink and food else where, as this place won't fill you much in either.
Does have free internet and the people are always extremely friendly, just the size and amenities are a little lacking.
