We stopped here for a late lunch after arriving in Snowmass. It's right by the chair lift, so you know it's not cheap, but I was able to get a check-in deal from Yelp for free guacamole. The tacos were delicious, and the mags were exceptional, for the location, the place is worth visiting.

Wow! I love this place! We sat on the patio and enjoyed some of the best Mexican food  I've ever had. Really delicious. I'm surprised the reviews are three and four star - I'm very, very fussy and this exceeded my expectations. Loved the guacamole. I will come back here again, FOR SURE.  Prices are also good especially for the area.

Turn down the music...better yet, fire the Dj! This is the best location for apres ski at Snowmass, but you are going to need ear plugs. Food is good and so are the margs. Too bad the music is terrible and terribly loud.

Bring your ear plugs! If you like electronica and loud DJs, you are in luck. Too bad because otherwise the food is good and the margs, too.

This is an interesting mexican restaurant right next to the top of the skycab gondola.  The patio has a good view.  Some of the items on the menu are unusual interpretations on dishes that I have had all over the Southwest.  For example, the tortilla soup is heavy, with a cream base.  Not at all like the tortilla soups I have had else where.  The fajitas come with small, thick tortillas and chicken breast in big pieces, almost as big as the tortillas themselves.  We tried the nachos that many people had recommended but were not impressed.Guacamole does live up to the expectations.  I had a spicy orange margarita.  Very tasty.  The place is big and bustling and service was uneven. All in all, pretty good but not enough to rate 4 stars.

We found Venga Venga by chance. I have to say one of the best places we've eaten at. We had dinner the first night and like it some much we joined them for the new Sunday brunch.... bottomless Bloody Mary's! The food was fantastic, service was on the money and the views are awesome.

Had dinner here our first night, good menu. The pork carnitas are great, its a large portion, so really could have shared it. The burrito was decent, but felt it was more filler than substance, had a lot more beans and potatoes than chicken. The table side guac is good, next time I would tell them to lay off the onions, but overall good, great drinks. The music was a bit much. We heard about the happy hour after the fact and it sounds like a great value

Sliders aren't so good. Loud music. Good tacos.  Limited beer selection.

The service here was great, as was the location and space.  They accommodated my request for a salad instead of rice and beans, which was awesome.  However, from the salsa to the fajitas to the tacos, everything was very bland with almost zero flavor.  We all found ourselves reaching for the salt shaker, requesting hot sauce, and getting limes from the bar to liven up our meals.  Also, the menu had very few veggie options.  This place would be great if the food just had some zing!

Venga Venga is a different world after apres ski - comfortable noise level and some really good food. Standard table-side guacamole was well done, salsa was rich and smokey, enchilada salsas interesting. Wifey gave the cerviche 7/10. Meat eaters have a rich selection but vegetarian dishes basically have meat substituted for cheese. Not much for vegan's to see here. Suggest the table-side guac, tortilla soup without chicken - simple and really nice.

I never thought that anyone could fuck up a bean and cheese burrito.  But they did. Not only was the service slow but the food was not good.  This is a great place for partying after skiing but for good food you will need to go elsewhere.

Everyone has an off night but the food was not good last year when my family was here.

Come on guys.  You put beans and cheese in a tortilla shell and serve it.  Mine was hot and cold with the cheese partially melted.  And they through on some shitty nacho cheese sauce on top. Are you fucking kidding me?  The server was do rude that I didn't mention the fact that I didn't want onions which I said twice as she was shaking her head.

Anyway disappointing.  I work in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles and the word will spread.

    Clean up your act!

    Loud! Loud! Loud!
I would NOT recommend eating here before 6:45 pm. The restaurant hires a DJ to play techno for the patio crowd.... Except the music pipes into the dining area as well. The speaker is cranked so loud that we had to shout at our waitress while placing our order. Forget about trying to have a conversation with your companions. I literally saw kids covering their ears and having a miserable time.

We asked the hostess several times about the music and she replied don't worry, the DJ will be leaving soon. He didn't.

If you're from the west coast, you'll likely find the food to be mediocre, as we did. This place pales in comparison to the Mexican food you'll find in SoCal .

I found this place last summer and loved sitting by the firepits in the summer with a fresh margarita. Now- this place is on my list if ever in Snowmass. We went to the X games and stayed in Snowmass- my favorite place to stay. We came for happy hour on Monday from 3-6pm. I love the atmosphere of this place and the margaritas are really good even the house margs. I wish we had a Venga Venga in Winter Park. This place has a cool vibe. Go for happy hour- $6 menu from 3-6pm. The service has always been attentive to make sure you don't run out of drinks. The chips and guacamole are tasty with that margarita and the steak quesadilla is yummy too. We ate every bite. If you are lucky they will have a band- last St. Patricks Day they did and it was so much fun I didn't want to leave. This was my third visit and it was a great experience. Like I said - if there was one in Winter Park it would be my new hang out apres-ski. Love Venga-Venga! It's great in the winter and summer.

We ate here a couple of times while staying in Snowmass.  The hostess and wait staff was always extremely friendly and accommodating.

Loved : Nachos, Quesadillas, fresh guacamole, and burrito
    Liked : Pulled chicken burrito
    Meh : Tacos

Very good Mexican food.  Had the nachos and the chicken enchiladas and both were a hit.  They made a strange choice to put in slippery polished concrete floors in a restaurant where everyone is wearing ski boots at lunch.  I watched 3 people slip and nearly did so myself.  That aside...go for the food.

Nachos, fajitas, and quest fund into we're great. A little pricey but the atmosphere is great, the staff friendly and they serve s'more kits on their awesome outdoor patio with several fire pits. We loved this place!

Didn't have high expectations here but ended up really impressed. Margaritas were really good. My wife was happy they offered frozen ones. The queso and chorizo was excellent. We had the chili rellano and carnitas and both were tasty. Service was prompt and friendly. Atmosphere was interesting with clubby music but we didn't mind. I withheld a star because it is expensive but we expected it when we came. It is the mountains but still it is also still Mexican food. Anyways you should go if you are feeling margs and Mexican in Snowmass.

Venga Venga is a really awesome place to go after skiing at snowmass to get some Tacos and a appetizer. I hear the margheritas are great as well. The outdoor environment is great for a appetizer with a DJ and a firepit. Tacos and Enchiladas 15-17 dollars each, but that's pretty good for the mountains and really good for a resort. Service is a bit shaky and they may forget your order but they are all nice and energetic.

Had lunch there today on the balcony, Tortilla soup--delicious.  Stuffed eggplant--wow. And the chips and salsa were really yummy.  They gave my two Yorkies a nice clean dish of water and everyone was extremely friendly.  Great place.

Great Patio with views of the mountains. Summer time concert start 6pm every thursday at Snowmass Village Mall.

Probably the best Happy Hour in Snowmass Wed-Sun 3-6pm
$3 draft beers (Dos Equis included)
    $5 Margaritas and mojitos
    $5 Appetizers

If you like Tequila, I saw about 80 different kinds on their menu.

Fantastic everything!!!  Service, food -- from appearance to taste to price. A must when you're in Snowmass. Ask for Janine as your server.

Fiancé and I went for the lunch special, $7.95 with your choice of two options, tacos enchiladas etc. The choices were great and ultimately the food was flavorful and a good portion. The main complaint that I have is that our waitress was completely downright rude. She hardly acknowledged us and seemed annoyed that we, as well as her other tables were there. Even though we both agreed that the food was very good, I doubt we will be back. A little politeness goes a long way!

In my last review, I said that Venga Venga was a little stuffy for Snowmass. They have upped the ante and they are far too stuffy for Snowmass now.

They've changed their seating system for the patio. In their old system people could grab tables/chairs as they became free. Now there is a host inside the restaurant that has to seat everyone out there.

Their change to host seating isn't my biggest gripe. My gripe was that there were a number of free tables with no one sitting at them. The hostess said there were 10 groups ahead of us. When we asked about the empty tables, she said there were people coming. Literally 15 minutes later, the tables were still empty. My other gripe was that the host wasn't actually pleasant or helpful in this interaction.

The past few years, my group of friends has always split our time between Venga Venga and some of the bars at Base Village (at the bottom of Fanny Hill). Now it's no question that we'll be going to Base Village for every Apres Ski.

Very good service from the hostess to our waitress (who was super accomodating).

Happy hour deals include $6 specialty drinks (Spicy Orange Margarita is awesome!) and cantina appetizers. $25/pitcher margarita.

The tacos (small) are about $2.5 each and pretty decent (not exactly "authentic" but you shouldn't expect authentic mexican food in Aspen! The nachos was awesome! My brother had the great idea of ordering the nachos with all the trimmings on the side so that we mixed the trimmings ourselves at the table into a dip...so that you get the taste combo of the nachos but none of the chips get soggy! We added steak for a total of $8 and totally worth it! Definitely a steal given the fact that it's right off the slopes and in uber expensive Aspen!

Great spot for lunch break from skiing. The warm chips and table side prepped guacamole were to die for (however, at $18, the price might kill you too). The location, slopeside can't be beat for hanging or meeting friends off the slopes. The lunch entree was good but not great. Several in our group were veggie's and orded vegetable fajitas which were enjoyed. Don't think I would plan dinner there, but lunch and apri-ski it's a good fit.

Love venga, venga because the food is great, today I have tortilla soup, the best I have ever had, usually have table side guacamole, but today we were sharing an outside patio fire pit, so I thought it would be too much. Anyway, margaritas are great, service is good.  Always like to stop here for après.great scene for the ski-tired due to comfy coaches which overlook action on fanny hill.

$6 apps. and ritas for happy hour? YES!

We heard about this place from a girl working at a t-shirt shop in downtown Asoen. I didnt give it a seconf though, but we happened to be skiing at Snowmass and needed a good place to sit down and have a snack and rest while we waited for our friends to wrap up. Venga Venga was pefect for both.

This place has patio seating that faces the slope or indoor seating with comfy large chairs that will fit you even when you are still in ski gear.

We had the nachos and a few margaritas. Talk about a great deal in Aspen! They have an entire menu of $6 apps and drinks for happy hour from 3-6pm. The nachos were HUGE and delcious. I really liked them with grilled chicken. I tried the prickly pear and the spicy orange. I would defintely recommend the spicy orange. The orange flavor isnt overwhelming at all.

It's a decent spot right off the mountain where you can go apres ski to have some food or a few drinks and watch the skiers come in from the day.  The outdoor seating situation is fantastic, with heat lamps and fire pits to keep you warm and cozy.  Unfortunately the food, while tasty, is definitely overpriced.  And they were out of the first four beers on tap that I asked for.  But again, the location is solid so you can't help but go here and will probably enjoy yourself.

Snowmass is general is a fantastic place to visit summer or winter and this restaurant is part of the reason. We were up there for the JazzAspen Musical festival with some friends and were looking for a place to hang out after the concert. We ended up outside by a fireplace that kept us nice and toasty warm as the fall chill was in the air.

We had a server named Mike that was amazing and so nice. He made some excellent recommendations on food, tequila and even had our bill separated at the end without us even having to ask. Upon completion of our food and some great conversations and laughs the night got even better when Mike informed us that he was considering us locals....which warranted us a slight discount on the final bill.

Overall spectacular experience just make sure you have the loot to pay for it!! But if you are already in the Snowmass/Aspen area that is just a given!

I'm in love with this restaurant.

We've been to several culinary events at the Snowmass Mall so we've never had a chance to eat there before the Balloon Festival weekend. Outdoor patios always call to me and and outdoor patio slope side? Hello!

We ended up going twice in the same weekend because we loved the food and atmosphere SO much. We had the tableside guac BOTH times.. TO DIE FOR!

Our entrees for dinner were a bit pricy for the size, especially for my husband but they were fantastic!  We had the carne asada dish and a chicken specialty of the house.

The next day we went in for lunch and had the steak nachos. They were the best nachos I think I've ever had and HUGE which made the hubby happy and we had the grilled chicken quesadillas. Both were wonderful, healthy, fresh and fantastic.

The view is wonderful, the comfy couches and chairs around the fire pits were perfect on a crisp fall day.

La Sandia is the sister restaurant in Park Meadows so we'll be visiting there much more often.

Can't beat the location for this place and they make a decent mojito. New owners this year and the ambiance and food has improved drastically. I totally want to apres here now. Definitely go for the guacamole and don't be afraid to add some heat!

I really love where this restaurant is situated in snowmass. The view is absolutely gorgeous and they have a nice big patio with comfy chairs so you can just lounge and enjoy the view.

I got the pulled chicken burrito which was really good. I loved the salsa on top and the chicken itself was nice and tender and flavorful. The burrito was HUGE so you certainly get what you pay for. I also ordered a frozen margarita which was AMAZINNGGG. This is definitely the place to get a good frozen margarita.

Our waitress was extremely attentive and made the overall experience very enjoyable. I will definitely be visiting again!

We spent both nights after the Chili and Beer festival hanging out on this huge deck, either sitting under heat lamps or around the plentiful huge fire pits on comfy padded benches, listening to the music and watching the crowds while staying warm and enjoying concert food and drink specials like $4 beers, $6 margs and $3 tequila shots. I've liked other Richard Sandoval spots (Tamayo, Zengo, La Sandia) and this is no exception. My husband tried a carnitas burrito which was huge and at $14, not overpriced considering the location. Our waitress let me order a side of ancho chile dusted fries though they weren't listed on the menu, and she brought out a big basket for just $3. The tableside guac made in a ginormous molcajete looked as delicious as it is at his other restaurants. I can imagine this place is awesome during ski season as well. Our second night there, it was much more crowded because I'm sure the festival brought in bigger numbers. Pro: they had a super fun dj. Con: service was worse and much harder to track someone down. But I will for sure be back to Venga Venga on my next trip to Snowmass. With more friends along, I'll be able to order the bucket of 10 beers for $30 and 10 tacos for $25!

It was great.  The food was marvelous, the service great, the atmosphere fun and the evening a total blast. The location is terrific, winter or summer.  The staff is so friendly and very helpful in explaining the menu.  The shrimp ceviche was unbelievable.  I highly recommend it.  I am totally a fan of this place!

After an epic day of skiing, dinner at Venga Venga was very average. Food was okay, but neither spicy nor very flavorful. Chips, however, were great. And the service was very below average. So - if average "fancy" Mexican fare is appealing to you, and you don't mind being ignored by your waiter, by all means, go. Just be sure you have a great day on the slopes to compensate for a very average dinner.

Awesome tortilla soup; can't remember the name of the chicken dish everyone recommended but it was top notch.  I think this restaurant was the best restaurant at the foot of the Snowmass mountain in terms of food.  Great happy hour scene with live music and colorful people every day after 4:00 - you can sit outside with plenty of heaters to make you forget how cold it is and unbelievable vistas of Snowmass mountain.  Total scene at the outside bar, great vibe - probably one of the best ski resto-bars I've been to.  Highly recommend

The margaritas and tequila selection are awesome. And the food is great too. The service is definitely hit or miss.

Stopped in twice after spending the day on the slopes. Margaritas were great each time. The tequila selection is pretty big and you can custom make a margarita of your liking. The margaritas are on the pricey side, but you get your money's worth of alcohol. And after all...you are in Aspen/Snowmass where nothing is cheap.

The table-side guacamole and other stuff we had were great as well.

The service was horrible the first time I was there, but it was great the second time. Could have been the young, seasonal help the first time around versus a local who took their job a but more seriously the second time.

Note: Get a table or couch on the outside bar - they have table side fire pits with couches that overlook the entrance to Snowmass Village and the Village Express lift.

P.S. I gave it 4 stars because I didn't factor in the horrible waiter service I received the first time there. Had I factored it in, I would have given it 2 stars. If/when you go, know that the service is hit or miss and be prepared.

The upside is that mexican cuisine is a breath of fresh air compared to the usual stew, chili, or fried crap on every menu in every restaurant here.

The downside is that the food tastes like they are made by white people, for white people.

The best thing about Venga Venga, aside from its location on the mountain in Snowmass and having a name in the ever-challenging subjunctive tense, is the kick-ass margaritas.

They may not be the best ever -- I still give the nod to the habanero-infused puppies in NY's Barrio Chino -- but they're pretty damn good, particularly the Spicy Mezcal Margarita. This drink is actually smoky, but who cares? It's freaking awesome. They also offer a highly recommended Espolon marg.

Aside from the drinks and impressive tequila menu, the food at Venga Venga is just OK. I've been to other Richard Sandoval restaurants in Punta Mita and Manhattan, and I've found this to be the case each time. Our party of 11 was unanimously underwhelmed.

(On a side note, I thought the fancy shmancy W-shaped taco plate for my steak tacos was stupid. Although the tacos were placed securely in 3 v-shaped pockets, there was no room for spillage or for redesigning your taco...)

But the margs are borderline crack, and they had me jonesing all week. It's cool to ski in, Venga Venga, grab a seat at the outdoor bar, and watch the world go by at the top of Fanny Hill.

I was hesitant to go to a new place because we couldn't find a lot of reviews, but THIS PLACE HAD FABULOUS FOOD!  Like another said, the service is slow (it was pretty empty when we got there), but the guacamole & salsa are great.  We had the vegetable fajitas, skirt steak with shrimp on top (fancy names I can't pronounce), grilled salmon and the shredded pork tacos. For desert I had the flan while the kids had coconut ice cream. The flan was the best I've had (& my Spanish stepfather used to make it homemade!) and the ice cream had real coconut flakes.
FYI, my salmon initially came out burnt, but was whisked away to be re-done. IT WAS PERFECT THE 2nd TIME! We will return this week. You should try it, too.

This place absolutely hits the spot during or after a cold day of hitting the slopes!!

    Delicious cantina-style grub:
-Crispy Fish Tacos - 4.5 stars, so yummy!
-Veggie Tacos - 5 stars, AMAZING
-Salsa - 5 stars, had to call this out alone cuz it's some of the best salsa I've ever had!
-Tableside Guacamole & Chips - 3.5 stars (the citrus in the guac was a little too strong for me)

Wash your scrumptious dish down with your favorite Mexican beer - they have Pacifico and Bohemia, among others - plus the friendly wait staff makes the experience that much more enjoyable.  Venga, venga = come, come and you will be satisfied!
