Generous of me to give this greasy spoon three stars... The only good thing I can say about it is it's cheap. The salad bar seemed mostly fresh - at least the few vegetable items I could find that weren't from a can. The pork is terrible - the breakfasts are decent. I ate there 4 times in 3 days - it's one of the only restaurants in Allegan. That's prob the only reason they are still open.
OK - Update - I have to admit, the fish special on Friday was really good. Some of the best fried fish I have eaten... Doesn't make up for the horrible pork chops or mediocre breakfast, but if you must go here - go on Friday and get the fish.... really yummy...
I had breakfast here this AM and will agree with others about the decor. Â It is a little shabby. Â Has a small salad bar for dinner. Â My breakfast was greasy. Â I had eggs, American fries and toast. Â My eggs were passable but the American fries were greasy and I asked for medium. Â My toast was half burnt and soggy with lots of margarine. Â The best thing about this place is the waitress's. Â They are wonderful and friendly. Â Coffee keeps coming from them constantly.
Review Source:A nice small town restaurant with really good burgers.
There is really nothing special about this place as far as the decor goes. It is a simple looking place that does look a bit tired. It has the usual drop down ceiling, hanging lights and fans. A small salad bar sits in the front corner but it is a one stop only salad bar. I didn't get it but my wife did and she was very happy with the selection and taste.
She also got the Philly Cheese-steak  sandwich which she raved about. I didn't have a taste as I was busy with a VERY good bacon cheese burger. They offer various sizes on the burgers and I went in the middle. I can only imagine how filling the big one is.
So to be short and sweet I give the decor a 2 star and the food a 4 star (out of 5) rating in the small restaurant category.
If I'm in the area again I will definitely stop in again.
