The Ville

I have a friend who lives in Mechanicsville and we stopped in here for some beer and darts. The dart boards were well maintained and there is even a small supply of flights and other essential gear in case you have equipment failure. A local dart shop runs a league here I think, and it seems to be a great marriage.

I wish they had kept Sam Adams in the house, at least a 6 pack on hand but this is more of a local hang out and I do not think very many regulars would spend the extra for good beer. So I see their point. At least they have Legend.

As for the food...I must say they can crank out some darn good bar grub. The chicken philly is made with chunk chicken, peppered and saute'd just right with onions and green peppers on a big sub roll. Ask for the Tots...I love tater tots and this place does them just right...crunchy outside and soft and yummy inside. You will need a friend to help you finish them off and that is a rule that should never be broken...A man should never run out of tots before he runs out of sandwich. Period. That really goes for any side potato, regardless of form. That would upset my German, Scott/Irish roots.

I have been back at least a half a dozen times, usually whenever I go out to visit my bud and we have an itch to play darts. When I saw there was no review...well that is history since you have read it.
