Recently visited with a group of friends. Â We had a wonderful time in the layed back yet attentive atmosphere of the staff. Â The bartender was friendly and welcomning as soon as we walked in the door. Â We chatted and had a drink while the table was being set for our party. Â The waitress was knowledgable and made recommendations based on our likes/dislikes. Â We are all very pleased with our meals- from the steak, chicken, sides to the sandwiches (not to mention the endless Sangria)! Â We enjoyed our meal so much that we spent an additional hour at the bar watching the game and chatting with the bar tender. Â I would definitly recommend it here for all ages, party sizes, and occassions! YUM!
Review Source:Recently changed name and owners to Neil Michael's Steak House. Â
Most of the menu is unchanged except for the prices, which have gone up quite a bit. Â Gone is the shrimp cocktail in favor of an ala carte raw bar. Â I had several shrimp @ 4.75 ea and though they were well worth it, that's kinda steep for this economy. Â I also had the ribeye steak which came with a few more vegetables than in the past. Â The steak was good but not great, considering the price.
Most restaurants are struggling to stay afloat by offering daily specials and price fixed (Prix Fixe) deals. Â Somehow these folks think they can make it, going in the opposite direction. Â The food is good and the service is always polite, if a bit informal for the money. Â
I still like the place quite a bit but their future is uncertain with this increase in price. Â I know I won't be able to eat there as much as I would like to but maybe I'm not their target demographic? Â In the past, it was always a matter of choosing this place or one of the mid priced chains (Outback or Bonefish). Â
However, I think they jus priced themselves out of the market. Â If I'm going to pay for a $35 dollar (ala carte) entree then I'll go to Ruth Chris or Peter Luger's instead.
