One of two locations in Swainsboro. They don't serve steak and shrimp at this location as Chris R noted in his review, you'll have to go to the other bigger location for the expanded menu. I never really cared for Ware's BBQ until I tried the other bigger location and I really like it! I wonder if people are rating this location higher based on their experiences at the other location?! This location only has the vinegar based sauce that's not that good, the other location has three sauces to choose from!
Review Source:Ware's is deeee-licious! Whenever we come out to visit, we always make sure to stop here to get some of their Brunswick Stew to bring to my great-grandmother. You know it's good when your great-grandma wants it ;P I wish we had a good BBQ restaurant like Ware's out here in my neck of the woods of California.
Review Source:When one is in Swainsboro, Ware's is where it's at. What's not to love about the place? It's a little hole in the wall joint that's been around forever. Ware's is a family-run business and everybody there is super friendly.
You can get a bbq half chicken with 2 sides and bread for $6 here. That's what's up. The chicken has been slow cooked all day long and you can tell the moment you take your first bite. Their signature bbq sauce is good but it's a bit tangy for my taste. Ware's potato salad is fantastic as are their green beans. Man, I love it when they leave chunks of ham in the green beans. Why doesn't everybody cook green beans with ham hock? It's so much better that way. Their bbq beans are very good and their brunswick stew is, without a doubt, the best in town.
For dessert, get the banana pudding. Seriously. I really, really, don't care for bananas and I absolutely loved this pudding! Their oreo pudding is also respectable.
