We passed through town looking for a breakfast spot and found the PERFECT one at Waterman's! Reasons to love this cafe:
1) Great location next to the beach with sweeping views of the lake and mountains. Can walk to the smooth stone beach, skip rocks and watch dogs play to the east.
2) Super friendly service by the woman who was helping us - extremely accommodating to customized orders and willing to go the extra mile
3) Deliciously fresh food made while you wait with sufficient vegetarian options. I had a toasted bagel sandwich with cream cheese and veggies.
4) Gorgeous SUP magazines sitting on the tables, just waiting to be poured through. Strong contenders for your attention against the real life mountains in front of you. ;-)
5) Wind protected outdoor seating (we must come back for a happy hour in the summer!)
We will definitely be back to this sunny woodsy spot along the lake with reasonable prices and plenty of charm.
We discovered this place by accident, thinking it was an access road to a beach. What a wonderful surprise. A cozy little cafe  / paddleboard rental place right on the lake. The beach in front of the place allows dogs. They also sell healthy snacks, fruit and other beverages. Inside they have a half dozen chairs, all with lake views and outside they have a small deck and some adirondack chairs on the grass in front of the lake. I could have stayed here all day just to drink great coffee and read by the lake.  As for the paddleboard rentals, they charge between $20 and $30 per hour. Staff is super friendly. I recommend getting on lake early (before 10am) and heading down to Kings Beach along the coast or just paddling around the bay.
Review Source:This place was a joke. Very expensive rental rates, plus we had to assist with pulling down our own kayaks because the 90 pound girl that worked there couldn't lift them. They also didn't have enough life jackets (required by coast guard) so they had to give us a child size jacket and said the jackets were just for show anyway. Rent elsewhere. As far as food, it's ok but they're selection is very poor and they run out of items quickly.
Review Source:My Favorite "paddle to" spot on Lake Tahoe. Â After a body-crunching-on-water paddle workout, stop in for some water/coffee and their Greek yogurt, homemade (extraordinary tasty) granola, berry parfait to re-energize before paddling back. Â It's almost paddle in-paddle out! Â Great folks - great atmosphere - a real local Tahoe experience!
Review Source:Great place to grab coffee and breakfast on the north shore... simple delicious menu with a great atmosphere and stellar views of the lake... staff is super friendly and place is clean. I love their Greek yogurt parfait... my husband usually gets the local burrito. A great option in carnelian bay!
Review Source:This place is a joke they delete your post if you tell people how this place really is. Workers are unprofessional, food sucks, the coffee is cold.... The list goes on and not to mention the workers let there dogs run free in the parking lot and in the place of business. I hope this place gets shutdown for health code violations.
Review Source:My wife and I actually paddled on our SUPs in to Waterman's Landing for brunch and coffee - wish everyday could start that way! Â The shop itself is in a beautiful building right on a pebble beach overlooking the water. Â The breakfast and lunch menus, while relatively small, are super unique and just about everything sounded delicious. Â
My wife had the endless summer rolls which were fresh vegetarian rice paper spring rolls and a dipping sauce. Â Report was thumbs (with sauce on them) up! Â I had to make the really tough call between the "bacon jam breakfast burrito" and the meatloaf panini. Â I went meatloaf panini, which had a red pepper ketchup and was grubbin. Â Forget what coffee they use, but was something interesting and quite good. Â
We were well fueled and had happy bellies for our paddle back around dollar point to our hotel. Â We look forward to doing it again next summer! Â If you are looking for a nice place to get some food and rent a SUP away from the crowds of Kings Beach, gotta say this would be a good option. Â Go get!
This review is the beach located by this paddle board and kayak rental location along lake tahoe. The beach here is quite relaxing. Good view, some picnic tables, some trees for shade, pebble beach (not sand), usually not crowded, and theres a parking lot. This is my location of choice to relax when going to lake tahoe. Bring chairs, some food, inflatable devices, and sunblock. Skipping rocks is also a cool thing you can do here.
Review Source:Too soon to give Waterman's Landing five stars, but it has the potential.  LOCATION - LOCATION - LOCATION !!! --- a great combination of lakefront Coffee Bar, light breakfast and lunch items PLUS kayak and SUP (stand up paddleboard) rentals, RIGHT ON THE BEACH.  Yes, it is true this is a pebbly beach (like most at Tahoe), not a sandy beach, but killer views and a very friendly scene.  A few indoor tables plus pretty patio, and of course picnic tables right on the beach (part of what used to be called Patton Beach).  It's easy to miss if you drive by fast, but easy to find directly next door to Sierra Boat Co (the marina).  Great spot for a bite to eat, maybe after a kayak outing or combined with a round of mini-golf  (which is directly across the street).  WATERMAN's LANDING itself, the building, was built by the Tahoe Conservancy.  The building and grounds are designed in environmentally sound fashion--  attractive native landscaping, etc.
Check it out. Â A very relaxed scene. Â No alcohol served.
