I came here for a casual lunch on a beautiful day where sitting close to the water after already traveling this far out in Long Island was necessary. The breeze, the boats, the water, the company, a friendly enough waitress and decent food won me over.
We were in the area for the day and as I searched for places to eat right by the water, I didn't find many options surprisingly. Perhaps I just didn't know exactly where to look. Nonetheless, for that alone Water's Edge won for us. Location, location, location!
There were 3 of us. We ordered the grilled chicken/mixed vegetables/rice, the pan fried tilapia/mixed vegetables/rice and the fish&chips. We also had the coconut shrimp as an appetizer. Everyone was content but not overwhelmed. I found the prices to be extremely reasonable and the cocktails were tasty. The selection of seafood felt somewhat limited although we were right along the water. We were even celebrating a birthday and the staff came out to sing happy birthday. Definitely a nice, friendly, casual place.
I wouldn't go out of my way to come back to this place since in general it's really far for me, but if in the area on a beautiful day- absolutely. There are a few skydiving business in the closeby vicinity, so if you're looking for food and a drink afterwards, I would definitely recommend this place.
