We willie's in Ellettsville has always been a solid little restaurant. The atmosphere is a lot different than the original location, but it's still good. For the most part, every meal I have ever had has been pretty good, and the service has beed good as well. They have quite a varied menu, and I think you can get breakfast most of the day, but I could be wrong. They keep the place clean, and the food is consistent. The prices aren't bad either. Definitely worth stopping in for a light and casual meal.
Review Source:UPDATED REVIEW
I used to like Wee Willie's. All I can say now is that you should get the salads. They are big and colorful and delicious and put together by a different person all together from the hot plate person who is a stingy person beyond all I have ever seen. The serving of rice I ordered couldn't have filled my tiny hand. However, the waitresses (who assemble the salads, by the way) are wonderful. They are understanding and try to do their best to make your meal pleasant under the circumstances. I was there a couple of months ago and the new policy was that if you ordered water, you only got a little bitty glass (for which the waitresses were profoundly apologetic) because the owner was annoyed that people would bring those packets of drink powder. All I can say is cheap is as cheap does.
They still haven't made new menus, though they've been saying they would for over a year.
In short, go, and have the nicest waitresses in the world bring you a wonderful salad! YOU go! Because I hate salads.
ORIGINAL REVIEW
I like Wee Willie's. The food isn't particularly healthy or enlightening, but the waitresses are nice enough to put up even with my dad's shenanigans. There's free wi-fi and the servers take your order on little computer things. My only complaint is that the menu is really hard to read.
Overall, it's a good place to bring your mom.
