A generous 3 star rating. This rating is only on food...we did not indulge at lunch time but I was very impressed with the wine selection and prices. So definitely a place to go back for a nice wine and appetizer night.
We used the Groupon offer which was a great value. Thankfully we got 40 bucks worth of food and used it all at lunch. The prices are not reasonable and hit or miss on serving size portions.
I had a half WG salad and it was very good. It was cold and put together so I know it was already prepared that way and not prepared fresh...but it was very good and would order again. I also had the tapas portion of salmon...14 dollars for a small maybe 3oz. piece of sockeye on top of an au gratin potato block. I ate the salmon...not hot..room temperature and was average at best. Slightly fishy taste which led me to believe not as fresh as I would have liked. The potatoes were also not hot...took 1 bite and did not finish the rest. Very bland and looked like a block of scalloped potatoes baked in oil. Not appealing and not tasty. The dish is not worth 14 bucks and if I just had that I would have been starving. A pretty expensive lunch to walk away hungry.
My wife had the risotto special...Cajun chicken and cheese. It was a very large portion for 19 dollars...easily could have fed 2 for lunch. It was good and would order again but was not something you walked away from and said that was awesome. Just good.
The venue is very appealing. Very modern with nice lighting and a very nice looking bar. Again, I would come back here for wine and maybe some side dishes...but for lunch or just dinner...I would say pretty expensive for serving size and quality of food.
Servers were very attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely very cordial. No issues at all with the service.
We had a great night at WG Kitchen & Bar. We went on a Groupon, which they offer fairly regularly on Groupon. The wine selection is pretty robust for a medium venue, with some unusual wines that I would not have expected them to have. For example, they carry Rex Hill Pinot Noir, one of my favorites, which tends to be rare in this region.
The service was outstanding. Even with a busy restaurant, the servers were on top of everything. We did not have to wait long for anything.
As for the food, I can only say "Wow." Everyone had a great meal. All of the meals were prepared perfectly. I really enjoyed their heinous Mac and Cheese concoction. Save room for dessert though - their desserts are worth it.
This is one place that I will return to.
The wine flights are nice and not something standard in this area.
You can chose a bottle from the wine store too.
The menue was great and the extra touches to each meal go a long way.
The staff has been friendly on all times we have gone even when very busy.
This is in a shopping area so it would be great for day or night. The place is a restuarant a  bar and a wine shop taht you can hang out in. I want to try it out as just a hang out rather than a restuarant but I keep going for a table as the food was great.
Feels dressy but you can be casual. Date night and romantic if you are in a corner or in the wine shop area other wise it is a busling restuarant.
Sadly the food was overpriced and very small portions. I also bought the premium wine flight, all of which I had experienced before. All three tasted waaaay beyond their peak (like they had been open too long). It old the wait staff and got ZERO response or even offer for new glasses. I would have thought they would have at least credited part of the cost. Buyer beware.

Review Source:My friends and I were out in a large group three weeks ago, on a Saturday night, and we had little hope of finding a place that could accommodate us all with no reservation.
We walked in and the friendly staff immediately set about rearranging tables for us. We were sitting within minutes.
Service was great, especially considering how busy the dining room was. The food was delicious too- the bruschetta appetizer and the tuna entree were my favorites. The wine selection was great. We were able to choose any bottle at wine store prices, and they served it for a 10 dollar corkage fee. The restaurant was comfortable and clean, and the individual unisex restrooms were a nice touch too.
I should have written this review sooner, but it wasn't til I had a worse experience recently, somewhere else of course, that I remembered to give WG their 5 stars.
I first tried this place as a result of a "Living Social" deal that was posted and WOW am I glad I made that purchase. Â This is a bit of a drive for me but was so worth it. Â Never mind, that it is located in a shopping mall which is usually a big turn-off for me. Â My husband and I have now eaten here twice and both times were amazing. Â The wine selection is also very impressive. Â On my first visit, I had the prawns and a salad that was absolutely mouth-watering. Â I also tried the white wine flight and ended up purchasing a bottle from the flight. Â My husband had a beef dish and said it was fabulous as well. Â The second visit, I chose a scallop dish and hubby had a beef dish (he is a meat and potatoes guy). Â Again, food was amazing. Â This is upscale food with a great selection of wines in a nice space but in a location that would give you the impression it would be a mediocre experience. Â Not true. Â We will be back again and again. Â The only complaint I have is that the service was very slow on both visits.
