It's called the thirsty turtle now.. Not horrible, not awesome. Good for random weekend dancing with your beau. Beverages by the fish bowl... $15, $25 & $50 sizes. Drink up my friends!

This bar is near the Hamilton-Fairfield border and attracts a pretty rowdy crowd. The place itself is huge -- a couple floors, pool table, big outside area with three different seating areas and a place to grill and play cornhole. Pretty average drink selection. The food is typical bar food with wings, burgers, mini corndogs. Don't expect a whole lot but it's definitely a Hamilton experience. After here you can pop across Ohio 4 to Cobblestone.

We came here just because a friend of ours was DJ'ing. Judging by the name, logo & location, I really should have known better. First of all, we were walking around trying to find the steps to go upstairs where the DJ & dance floor was. We tried two different sets of stairs and got to two very small rooms that housed two tables each. I decided to get a drink at the main bar and just ask the bartender. Apparently the steps are right in front of the bathrooms with no clear sign or visible indication that stairs are actually there.

The first thing we noticed as we get upstairs is that people are smoking. What the hell? We thought smoking indoors was illegal in Ohio??? Apparently they just look the other way and even put out cups of water on every table to put the ash & discarded cigarettes in.

Second, the price for drinks is a rip off. A mixed drink is $7 and a bottle of beer (notice I said beer and not Bud Light or Miller Light) are $4 each. I don't mind paying that price but not at a place like this. Hell, that's the same price I payed at a concert and the drinks were much stronger at the concert!

Third, I was trying to watch the end of the UK vs UCONN game and there were two very small TVs upstairs. At least they were LCD but they were so damn small. My computers have a larger screen. There were about 6 of us all trying to huddle around this small 20" TV that is hanging on the wall. If there is a game you want to watch, you do not want to be here.

Fourth, it gets ghetto as hell starting 11:30. We got there at 10 and had a some what decent time people watching and enjoying our friend play music. Once 11:30 hit, we HAD to leave. Apparently (according to our friend), a big fight broke out just after we left. We've been to places that were ghetto but not like this. This is seriously the most ghetto place we have ever been to. Which is weird because downstairs was rather trashy and seemed like a really bad dive country bar.
