Grab a seat at the bar. Bartender Steve did a terrific job. Makes you feel like you're a regular.
Or you can sit on the patio and watch the people parade (think Miami beach).
A good selection of wines by the glass and the bottle, and absolutely fantastic build your own thin crust pizzas. The kitchen was open until 1am on the weekend.
We had a great time both nights right through closing! Wish this was in our nieghborhood!!!
Over priced for there horrible wine selection and crummy food. Not only did my party wait almost 15 mins to get noticed but they were clearly allowing underaged girls order numerous drinks. Finally got service, staff was pleasant. Overall bad experience, paid too much to watch a bunch of 16 year olds get drunk and stumble off laughing as they know they got away with it.
Review Source:There was no toilet paper or soap in women's bathroom. Â The menu given did not match even close to what was presented at http://Restaurant.com and their website doesn't not work. Â Crooked lamp shades. Â People smoking at entrance. Â Couches given to sit on were sunken in and not comfortable. Â Place tried to seem upscale, but it was far from it. Â Some of the food was ok to eat.
Review Source:My friend and I came here for a low-key night. It was great for that. Â Shared a couple small plates, good food, and had a great moscato. Â I visited on another occasion as well, but we sat upstairs. Â I will probably go back if it's convenient and don't feel like being seated at a restaurant.
Review Source:i LIKE wine loft because there's nowhere else really like it in the area. it's def not 5 stars. in the winter the crowd is younger. summer it is older. cheese plates are good. wine is good. get a bottle vs glass it equals almost the same (probably cheaper) and they pour it for you in front of you :) service is decent. i always sit upstairs i enjoy it. never sat at the bar. sometimes they play live music, but they don't have a set schedule for it.
Review Source:Came in after 11pm (starving) & praying they were still serving food. Lucky for us the kitchen is open until 1am! Great small plates & super inexpensive!! In fact, the whole menu including the mixed drinks is really reasonably priced. The upstairs lounge configuration could be arranged better but still sort of cozy. I will admit, we did walk into the new place next door (Induldge?) and walked right out. SO incredibly loud & crowded...not what we were in the mood for & usually why we leave Manhattan on the weekends!
Review Source:The place has been beaten out by it's neighbor "indulge". I went on a Saturday night and there was maybe a dozen people there all night at any given time. The live DJ I feel is partly to blame. The vibe kept changing about every 3 songs as he really couldn't seem to get a rhythm going. The menu is nice and creative. The staff is attentive but maybe because there was really nobody there. I tried to get my friends to go next door which at times had a line to get in. I think it's best days may be over due to the competition next door (Indulge). I recommend you turn the lights down more and get a house DJ. That's about the only chance you have of getting a crowd back. The DJ you have is all over the place and I saw most people stopping in for a drink and leaving.
Review Source:Recently visited Wine Loft for a ladies night out. We loved it!! Â We were able to sit upstairs in the loft area. Our server was very nice and accommodated our large group of 20. Wine was great. We tried a variety of food plates including the sliders, pizza and cheese platter. The food was excellent. Can't wait to go back.
Review Source:Tripped across this spot after being locked out of another establishment who decided to close their kitchen early...on my birthday!
Things happen for a reason though, and the Wine Loft was the most pleasant surprise I've had in ages. Â Atmosphere to last a lifetime, great wine, attentive and friendly service and a food menu that is good but could be better. Â
I've found a new place to wanna go to! Â Happy Birthday to me!
Had the sangria which was ok. Â Im giving 4 stars to the atmosphere and the place itself. Â Really cool. Â Loved it! Would come back again based on how cool the place was. Â Relaxing, chill, cool hang out spot to talk to friends and drink some overpriced pretentious beverages. Â I felt like a rich snob being here, but I loved it.
Review Source:Paying half price for name brand wines during happy hour is always a plus in my book
Appetizers are more than adequate , cheese platter ,pizza and sliders are reasonably priced
We' ve found the staff to be attentive and helpful such as telling us that happy hour was ending in a few minutes
Nice place to go and chill
Waiting...
on the present staff to get trained in Wine Service. I spent a lot of money taking Keven Zraly's (Windows on the World Cellar Master) class in NYC. http://www.kevinzraly.co…
The Wine Loft offers specials on booze and beer. Â The ladies room is too dark and the hooks to hang expensive bags are broken.
It is important to me to have a professional presentation and knowledgeable suggestions for wines to try. Waiting....
Oh you fancy! Don't try and walk in here looking like a slob. I don't know if they will stop your or not, but you will feel stupid. Classy, laid back joint, which makes a pretty cool combination. No real menu, but don't let that fool you because their small plates are addicting. The staff is gorgeous and delightful.
Review Source:Atmosphere is pure class - two levels with very comfy "chill out" sofas. Â Love the ambiance and the tall, beautiful ceilings. Â The manager recognized us as frequent customers, and gave us the kind of treatment that makes you want to come back with more friends. Â Great wine list, and the staff suggestions have been more "hit" than "miss." Â Not really a dinner place. Â I think the small plates here are perfect upscale snacks for the late night munchies... also really good as a pre-dinner app or post-dinner treat (cheese plates and some yummy desserts on menu). Â With the NY / North Jersey crowd in town, parking can be brutal on summer weekends. Â I like coming in the fall/winter when it's less busy, but this place is great for any season.
Review Source:We sat outside and started off with the Sangria. Â
They made it very well, good blend of juice, red wine and fruit.
Also ordered the trio of dips and beef sliders. Â The dips which had brushetta, hummus, and baba ghanoush were good, though the brushetta was a little too watery. Â The bread it came with was a little too hard. Â The beef sliders had more bread than beef, but overall a good deal.
Used the http://restaurant.com and I'd definately go back. Â Ambiance is lovely and the place wasn't too crowded.
We started out with a cheese plate anticipating making our reservation for that evening. Â Well, we never left. Â They offer small plates so we just continued ordering wine and food. Â Other than the fruit flies that congregated in my wine, the experience was excellent. Atmosphere awesome. Â Our waitress was fabulous and on the ball. Â If I were in the biz, she would be one to recruit. Â We will be back and this is now our 2nd favorite place in Long Branch.
Review Source:Great atmosphere, with a bar downstairs for when you want to mingle and quiet spots and leather couches upstairs for when you don't. Despite it being a Friday night the first time I went, the place never got too loud or obnoxious and before I knew it I'd been there for something like 4 hours.
I was charmed by the staff, who were attentive without being intrusive. The cocktails and food left much to be desired however. Only the slightest hint of olive in my "Intense" Dirty Martini. The Jalapeno Margarita was ok, but again not as flavorful as its name would suggest. And I'm all for aspiring to be something greater than you are, but the "Kobe Beef" in the Kobe Beef Sliders was complete and total fiction. Â Dry, tasteless, and ludicrously overpriced at $9 for 2.
I'll be back I'm sure, but for the ambience, not the menu. Perhaps I'll stick to the wine next time.
I've visited the Wine Loft twice now, and I'm already anticipating our third visit there later in July. In short: go here. This is a slice of Manhattan-esque elegance right on the Jersey Shore, and a welcome break from the usual summer haunts of Bar A and Jenks.
The space is decorated in a way that encourages intimacy and talk. Dark colors, leather couches, and low tables surrounded by ottomans are the primary seating along with your standard full bar. The staff here is incredibly nice, attentive, and knowledgeable about the wines and food served. As an example, my friends and I were quickly seated one busy Saturday night. A few moments later, nicer seating opened up and the hostess gratefully came back and offered to seat us there.
The wine selection is excellent, and so are the prices. Have you ever snagged a bottle of wine for $21 at a restaurant? I have. You can find many good bottles are affordable prices, from red to white, from cab to riesling. Couple that with the Tuesday special of 1/2 off glasses and you can get your fill and more at phenomenal prices.
Admittedly, I have yet to sample a large portion of their menu but the cheese plate they serve is excellent. It's more than enough for three or four, comes served with bread, and the cheese selection does change frequently. The manchego paired with the quince paste is the favorite amongst my friends, but they had a French goat cheese one evening that was sublimely creamy and slightly sour.
The Wine Loft is definitely a sure bet and a welcome addition (and change) to the usual late-night scene offerings.
Even though I came here pre-drunk and soaked from being blasted with a freak twenty second long rain storm right before walking in, I had a great time. For a beautiful Friday night, it was really empty inside. This blows my mind COMPLETELY because this place is awesome!
The wine selection is absurd, in a good way. We had a nice bottle of red---well, it seemed nice but I could have just been under a love spell by the bewitching baked brie en croute I ordered. Nothing goes better with wine than creamy, rich brie in a buttery, flaky puff pastry. It was topped with vanilla infused honey, a balsamic reduction, and warm spiced pecans. I would be eating that for breakfast right now, had I brought it home. Boyfriend ordered the lobster tail piccata which I snagged a piece of and I could NOT believe how good it was; tender and buttery, served in a light lemon caper sauce. Good food? But it's like, 11:30...in LONG BRANCH. And what else, you tell me? This is a CHAIN? No WAY! So good.
The staff is friendly and seriously knows how to deal with drunk people who's voices get exponentially louder every 5-7 minutes. Everything was served promptly and our every need was met.
The decor is inviting, comfortable and sexy to boot. It's a perfect place to bring a date, hang out with friends; or kick back after a long work week, relax and intoxicate yourself with fancy-schmantsy appetizers and copious amounts of wine.
Citizens of the Jersey Shore: Ignore Jenks and Bar A and Headliner and whatever other crappy dookieland you go to on Friday nights and show some class! Head over to the Wine Loft. DON'T MAKE ME TELL YOU AGAIN.
This place is a dream come true. The wine, selection, service and decor are fabulous! I have been here several times, as I live in the complex. The service is always great--they are knowledgeable, friendly, and the perfect balance of checking in on you to see if you need anything while leaving you to enjoy your wine. We've done everything from a large party upstairs, to quiet romantic evening, to a group of us hanging out at the bar--every experience has been so much fun!
I recommend in addition to the wine, trying the appetizers! I just thought I was going to have a quick snack, no big deal, but the food ended up being delicious! There is one with steak that is to die for!
They have great specials on Wednesdays too.
I was so happy when my friend Hannah decided we should go here over Memorial Day Weekend. The Shore definitely starts going crazy as summer gets into full swing, as evidenced by the long long line at Avenue (sorry homies, I don't do lines in the city and I am not about to start waiting in Jersey!).
We snagged a corner upstairs with my bro and another friend, and let the good times roll! Their specialty cocktails are incredible, I forgot what mine was called but it was St. Germain (one of my favorite liqueurs ever) with gin and a splash of sav blanc. Yum.
We also got some wild mushroom bruschetta to snack on, was absolutely incredible and easy to share, so good we ended up getting a second order. We also got the shrimp and blue cheese in puff pastry with sweet chile sauce, also amazing! I'll definitely be back for the food and for the drinks.
We didn't get around to wine this time, but I did notice that on Wednesdays they have free tastings, and Tuesdays are half price bottles, so I guess I'll just have to make it down some time during the week!
