The Wine Lounge

A wonderful discovery. We were looking for another place but it had moved so we ended up here since it was within walking distance. The wine selection and food selection is quite good. The service was very good as well. I loved the ambiance most of all. It was very classy and relaxed. We sat on a couch, sipping wine and eating cheese, quite a wonderful way to spend Friday night. Definitely going there again.

Seems that the wine lounge was re-opened with new management.

-So so wine menu, nothing extraordinary that you can't get at BevMo or Trader Jo's . However, this is probably my L.A/West Hollywood biased opinion speaking..

-Tried a series of appetizers, wasn't a fan of the cream puffs with bacon...tasted like it was store bought. The double fried fries also tasted like they were store bought. However, the deep fried brussels sprouts with goat cheese and a wine reduction is delicious! The portobello fries are also decent, my taste buds are still forever faithful to bottega louie's fries. The truffle dip that also accompanies the appetizer has little to no taste of truffle.

-Their menu is small and seasonal which is nice but limiting.

-The service could be better. The staff is very young, but let's give the place the benefit of the doubt and play the "they just opened card"

-The place is fairly small, and the tables are a bit crowded together. I couldn't get up from my table several times because the server or other guests would be in the way.

-They had a live band which was great! But way too loud, the place itself is very noisy so you will not be able to have a decent conversation. I love the concept of a live band, but the place is small, making the noise super condensed and loud (especially when the trumpet plays).

Overall, a great little gem in downtown Redlands with room for improvement. I really do wish this place luck!

Closed for 2 weeks while the new owner takes over. Will be very interesting to see what changes come from her ownership. The 2 times I have been there, the host and servers were very friendly. The food was pretty good, but an upgrade to the wine list would be welcome. I do love the ambiance of this place. I'll be back in a few weeks to update my review.
