Loved this place! My girlfriend and I were visiting her parents at their condo and wanted to grab dinner. I am a big wino, so my girlfriend's mom recommended this place.
I got the cabernet sauvignon "wine flight", which is three glasses of wine for $13. Hell yeah! The wines were appropriately varied: one was dry, one was neutral, one was more fruity.
They went great with the 3 cheese plate we got, which got us a HUGE serving of three different types of cheese, a small loaf of bread, and an assortment of dried fruits and some spicy nuts.
I got a panini with a side salad. Their salad is great! Very fresh, great dressing, with crunchy cucumbers and sunflower seeds. The panini was perfect and flavorful.
The only downside? They only had ONE person working, besides the person/people in the kitchen! Of course, I didn't blame the poor waitress/bartender, she was sweet and clearly had a knack with customers. She was working her butt off! This place needs to hire more people, apparently. Still, I will definitely be back the next time I am in Pensacola.
I was very pleased with my experience. After spending the day at the beach, I decided to shop a bit on the boardwalk. I saw that this place had a check-in offer on my Yelp app (15% off purchase), so I dropped in. It has its own entrance but also an adjoining entrance with Envie, a boutique next door.
When I walked in, I noticed two good-sized rooms; one meant for dining/lounging, and the other with the bar and some tables, as well. Very nicely decorated. Before I even got to the bar, I was sidetracked by the cheese case. Oh, was I excited to see Mahon in that case! They also had brie, chevre, a cranberry type of cheese, bleu cheese, valdeon, parmesan, fontina, etc. A really nice selection.
I sat at the bar and was informed that since it was happy hour, I could get a carafe of wine for the price of a glass. Sold! After sampling a few, I settled on the Moscato. Don't judge me, I had already had a frozen Bushwacker and needed something mild. Anyhoo, it started pouring rain, so I enjoyed the hell out of my 2.5 glasses of wine (which ended up being $5.50). Before I left, I took advantage of my check-in offer and picked up some Mahon and Chevre. The total was $15. Soooo reasonable.
Oh, and when one of the patrons at the bar heard I was taking the free trolley back to our beach rental, he let me know that you could take alcohol on them. Armed with that knowledge, I promptly went back to Bamboo Willie's and got another Bushwacker for the road.....
