While the scenery is great with the tables being right on the lake, the service is SO BAD at this location. We have a place in Conroe and love to take the boat out to eat and enjoy the lake vibe. But after so many lousy experiences at Wolfies, we are officially done!! Today we waited 10 minutes at our table before having to go back to the hostess stand to try to figure out who was our server. Â This is a constant occurrence each and every time we have been here. And to top it off, the food is very mediocre. Lake Conroe is definitely in need of a good restaurant with great views and GOOD service!!!

Â Then waited an hour for food and if was awful. Â Pork chops done to jerky, had to ask again for the sides, and again. Â Finally got them. Â This is what happens when you hire people that don't care about your business. Â Stick to the crawdads. Â It's the only thing they know how to make well.
Review Source:Absolutely the worst service, ever! We went with a group of 6 adults and 2 kids. The place was not busy at all. Maybe 11 tables in all that were being serviced. It took us over 30 minutes to get the waitress over to get our food order. When we ordered the food, they did not bring out the right wings. We had to argue with the waitstaff that the 'Puff' wings were not the 'blow the house down' wings that they brought out. The server actually wanted us to eat those things. I could smell the peppers the smell was that bad. Then, when we finally told them if the wings were what they were suppose to be, then she should eat them, she took them back to the kitchen. 2 out of the 6 orders were completely wrong. Once I told the waitress I was not going to eat the wings, because 5 people had touched the plate that I was going to eat off of, she gave me a stink eye. I'm sorry, but I did notice how you were picking your nose and butt earlier, and do not want any of your bodily fluids on my food.
After telling the group of waitstaff that the orders were wrong, one of them proceeded to try and back talk us when she was walking away, stating "If you think you are going to say something to me, you better think again, B@!#h"... yeah, you are in the restaurant business hun. Time to think about a career change if you cannot get the simple order of 5 wings with one sauce and 5 wings with another sauce. It's not rocket science.
For a dinner, on a Wednesday night, that should have taken no more than 1.5 hours, took us 3 hours to get through.
Dead roaches on the floor did not help... Gross!
We will never, and I mean never step foot in this roach-infested restaurant, ever again.
Yesterday, me and a buddy went to SAMs boat and they were out of crawfish!!! Â For president's day? Â WTF? Was told there that wolfies had crawfish but they weren't that good. Decided to go anyway and man, glad we did. We Ended up plowing through the first 5 pounds so we got another 5 and plowed through them too. Loved every one of them little mud bugs. The staff was great. Our waitress was really nice and made sure we always had everything we needed. I went back to SAMs boat today to test out their crawfish. It was no contest. Wolfies won hands down. Not even the same ball park. The drinks are better the service is better and the crawfish are damn sure better at wolfies. That was the first of many times I will be going there.
Review Source:The service was good after a long day on the lake! We went at night and the dock should have more lights! It took a while for someone to relize that we a party of 5 were there. But the food was a good portion size for the price and it was pretty good. The waiter was very nice. The only reason I give it four is because of how long it took the workers to realize we were there, we finally had to up and ask one of the ladies cleaning the table.
Review Source:We love Wolfies! Best wings around, cheap beer, and always good service. I've never had anything on the menu that was BAD. The club wrap isn't great and the burger is OK, but the wings are the way to go! $10 buckets on Friday nights. When the lake is high and it's warm, its nice to sit outside. Usually have bands on the weekend, most we've seen have been good. Love this place!
Review Source:The service was decent for a change altho there was no one over 22 in sight working. Â We ordered "hurricanes" , out came these bright orange frozen drinks, def not hurricanes. We sent them back . We were then served two reddish colored drinks in beer glasses, they had lil to no alcohol in them (I figured we upset the two young young bartenders)
. We ordered crawfish. They were  'chewy',  we believe they had been 'recooked' since they were yesterdays special.
We wanted to eat lots of crawfish and have a few drinks. It was our 'date' night. We went to Wolfies for good food and fun. Â We were so disappointed we decided to go home and have a dessert there.
We've been to this Wolfies 3 times, and the first two times were great. The food was delicious and the service was great. HOWEVER, we went on Sunday of Labor Day weekend, and had some major problems.
First, we arrived and told the hostess we were there, and she said it'd be 20 minutes to sit down. We waited 30 minutes all while other groups showed up and sat down on the patio and were served. We asked what was going on and they said they only sit as many tables as the servers can handle... And they don't know how the other tables were being helped.
So they seated us anyway and we sat and waited. After 20 more minutes a server came by and asked if we had been helped. Um no, well this wasn't her table but she would help us anyway. We ordered drinks, and got them 20 minutes later.
We waited another 20 minutes for them to get our food order. It took another hour for the food to come out, and my husband only got a bowl of gumbo, when he ordered a cup of gumbo and fish tacos.
The whole time we were there fuming the servers never asked how we were and avoided eye contact with us. We watched as other tables were sat, served, and left while our stomachs were growling.
We are very easy going and the food was very good, but we were livid by the tome we left. I have NEVER left a 0 tip in my entire life, but we did this time.
The manager knew we were upset also and never came by our table or anything. I don't know if we'll be back.
